What if we never truly die, and we keep getting Reborn after every "death" we face? if so, how do we escape the infinite loop? Are we just stuck living in agony for eons to come, forever!? What if we have been repeating the same exact life over and over again, not realizing it? My biggest worry, is that whenever i choose to CTB I'll be right back at the start of my life again reborn, and forgetting my past failed life. So, If incarnation is real; will we be continuously reborn over and over again forever?

if you knew that you were going to be reborn forever, what would you do?

If that's true then it's even less wrong to want to CTB since we'll all just come back to life in some other form anyway and anyone trying to stop someone else from doing so just looks like even more of a clown.

This doesn't make any sense. How would we get reborn then? So your saying when you die the entire universe has to reset and your mother gets repregnated out of nothing? This is a paranoid theory.

People are already stressed and scared of CTB here, why post something like this that just scares people even more?
There is nothing after death. You are an animal like any other. Once your brain is deprived of oxygen it's bye bye and nothingness.

If there is an infinite loop, then it kind of solve everything since fear of death is the very essence of suffering.

this is a logical and scientific/physical impossibility...... nice premise though . id change alot of my mistakes and bad decisions (if knowledge was obtained in this fantasy scenario)

Exactly, very well said but people delude themselves into a false sense of hope with unrealistic scenarios, its wishful thinking at its best .

The thought of any kind of life after this is absolutely horrifying, and if something existed after this, I would have no choice but to suffer. I do refuse to believe that there is anything after this life. I think that when we die, we cease to exist, we are gone, when we lose consciousness that is it for us. Death is just like how before we were born, where time passed and yet we were not aware of anything.

This is an interesting thought. Let's say that a person in the 1600s dies - did they reincarnate into another person and body later in the 1600s, or perhaps in the 1700s...? Likewise, if we all die in - let's say 2023 - will be all be born again into another body and personality in the 2100s...? Who knows...?

Perhaps what we call "consciousness" is a finite pool somewhere, from which all new-born babies draw their personalities... this would mean that person 1 69862 in the 1600s is the same as person 986 253 223 in 2023, but the person who lives in the year 2023 won't realize that their "consciousness" has lived before. In this sense, we would merely be made of recycled energy.

Hmmm, like Groundhog day [life] do you mean? So we get reincarnated into EXACTLY the same life to see whether we make less mistakes? Eeek... I hope not. Used to hate those old computer games where you couldn't save and had to start from the beginning... We're all dying at different times though... that's a massive amount of multiple realities.

Honestly, really don't like the idea of reincarnation. Want it to be over when it's over. Maybe a brief slice of heaven just to say hi to the dead folks and then, nothing is my hope.

Have wondered if it's plausible though- that we're supposed to learn and develop in each life- sounds sadistic and tedious enough to be meated out by an authorative, angry God. Plus, think there are cases of people remembering past lives- not sure how legitimate they are...

Still, seeing as the overall human population has been growing for years, reincarnation might not work as an idea either- unless there is a fixed amount of souls spread out amongst animal and human life or there is some reserve pool of souls out there to supply the expanding population.

As a clever friend of mine once said though- how do you progess as an animal in reincarnation- 'You have been a particularly good worm, so- we'd like to offer you an upgrade to a snail in your next life...' Sorry to mock any folk that do believe in reincarnation. I think we all have the right to our own beliefs but I think it doesn't hurt to question them either.

The way we have no reference of what brought us here is the odd part. Here we all are?

A world without dogma would be a strong, non-divided one. We have set out on a mysterious yet pointless journey, but we do not know the answer. Neither do we have a key or any clues. It is all a mystery, it is all a question.

If life is an infinite death loop, it would be a welcoming thought. Because we don't have to worry. It's just the same thing time and time again. Grow used to it per se— but seems unlikely. I feel that NDEs have a lot to tell us about suicide and medical close calls. We cannot cheat death.

If this is an infinite loop of death, what happens when the world inevitably ends, whether it's by nuclear war or when the sun goes supernova or whatever? The latter may not happen for billions of years, but that doesn't mean it won't happen at all.

We dont and should not know the answer to that.

A knowlegde of that would be abused. We would launch all kinds of shit, then retrieve into our next life.

What makes life significant is the fact that it is finite due to death. The thought of having to repeat life or even go on to live another life diminishes it to something just unbearable. Suicide would no longer be a sweet release and man, i am just bummed thinking about this more and more. There's just no way out...

If we existed this time there isn't any reason why we couldn't exist again in my opinion. The whole thing is a miracle as much as I hate life, you gotta admit it is amazing.

Sometimes i dream that in the tunnel of death there is control panels that check you creatures like greys and in the end there jesus that guide you is that a nightmere or what! Reincarnation divide souls its like a control system that create for castes or like heaven and hell.

Found this on quora:

I believe the answer to your question is no. A perfect copy of you will not be "you," or your "self."

To prove this point, we need not even speculate about the possibility of future replicating technology. According to many theoretical physicists, an exact copy of you already exists (in fact, infinitely many such copies). In his book "The Hidden Reality: Parallel Universes and the Deep Laws of the Cosmos" (2011), renowned physicist Brian Greene explores the emerging scientific theories about how our universe is not unique, but is just one among infinitely many universes. Although Greene describes several types of such parallel universe theories, the simplest one will do for our purposes, the so-called "quilted multiverse," or one universe of infinite space. (Greene, 2011, p. 10).

Are you experiencing those other selves right now? Why not? To answer that question you have to know how consiousness works and why it even exists in the first place.

I've been thinking about this a lot - particularly correlated with whether or not time is linear. If it's not and it runs in a circle, then hypothetically enough time will pass that I end up where I was born. That sounds really painful, especially if I only get to live in this life with the same end result.
I'd love to choose my next life as if it was a video game customization screen. Choose how I look, where I live, etc.
Yeah I'd like to do this but put me in a different time (like in the 80s) and possibly in a different area. Or be able to change certain decisions, but I couldn't deal with having those memories once I'm born.

If the soul is pure energy... Where does it come from? The sun isn't a ball of fire but of energy. Plants grow on that energy, herbivores eats that store energy, carnovores eat that bigger energy storage...

I sm the sum of all my cells that were, are and will be. God is the sum of all the beings that were, are & will be.

There is only 1 being.

Matter cannot be created nor destroyed, everything changes.

I was never born and I will never die.

But I guess our ball of life will end with the sun.

So you won't reincarnate forever.

I wonder what our soul would be life if we moved to another planet. In final fantasy the spirit within, it couldn't go back to the river of life energy underground... But ended up reaching harmony.

Your suffering will end at least. I think we should fight for better life conditions while alive. I'm scared to be a chicken in a farm... Or... Worse... A human with a pedo dad...

I hate this planet. Even trees can't redeem this shit hole anymore.
