what if before birth, we were desperate to be one of the sperms to reach an egg? what if we were conscious sperms?

what if our biggest fear, as sperms, was to die while our owner was jerking off or having protected sex?

and before that, what if before life, we were dwelling in our parents body, conscious cells dreaming of becoming sperm?

What if before that, we were conscious vegetable, dreaming of being eaten by the right species? What if our biggest fear was to be eaten by insects and thus becoming insects. Our dearest dream would have been to be eaten by a mammal, preferably humans?

what if at some point we were dirt, or rocks dreaming of becoming more organic like water or fishes?

what if the nightmare we're living is the dream of a past self? what if just being alive, or even rarer, being alive as a human is a luxury in the universe? Like we're the top 1% or the top 0.00000001% to be gifted with both, reason and a practical body?

I wonder if this life is supposed to be a dream of my past self. a lottery win.

One thing is certain, this shit hole really doesn't feel like a heavenly one.

If this is heaven, then God is one flawed architect. I want no part of this "gift" that pro-lifers glorify so greatly. This place is an intellectual, practical, spiritual, and oftentimes aesthetic disaster. I for one disapprove of the architecture of our world and quite possibly observable reality as a whole. If God exists, then I'm putting a return stamp on this fucked up creation.

I agree this place is an astral void. I think I get paranoid because I can't imagine peace anywhere. I can't imagine peace after death. My brain can only conceive suffering at this point..

Truth is, when I do go down the philosophical hole and contemplate concepts of heaven or hell, traditional or non-traditional, I'm more inclined to believe this is "hell".

Sometimes I wonder if I'm already dead and actually in hell.

It doesn't seem like a logical possibility to conceive of a world without suffering for me either. It is the only way I can imagine survival for self-aware beings, but such a plane could exist which would be so alien to us wretched earthlings that it is nearly inconceivable. I for one lean towards thinking that the best of all possible worlds would not exist, which is my goal. but I am also worried about what awaits us in death.

I don't have any recollection of previous life. There was just nothing before my earliest memories around 4-5 years old.

If this place is heaven, then the term has no meaning, and can be interchangeably used with hell. How can hell be any worse? You have people going through mental issues, extreme physical pain, torture and endless other horrors. Heck, even completely innocent beings like animals and kids go through all these. What other horror could possibly be there for an individual in hell that's somehow worse?

It makes a lot more sense to me that heaven/hell are made up concepts because people were more terrified of everything just stopping at the point of death.

Sometimes I ask myself if I'm in heaven and dead. Because I've tried so many times to die and almost succeeded.... And here I am still alive and changed my mind. And it just feels so strange. Still being alive. It feels like Im living a double life. I got a new job and I have many great new colleagues and I catch myself thinking a lot of times "do you guys know I'm supposed to be dead?". I didn't tell anyone yet. I just explained my weirdness for now with me having occasional "anxiety" 😂

anyone ever heard of Nakara, the eighteen stages of hell? from buddhism

Screenshot 20220731 203736 Samsung Internet Screenshot 20220731 203727 Samsung Internet

I have read a large collection of Buddhist sutra and I'm always speechless at how oddly specific everything is in there. like the way they describe hell.

It's (the nakara) is basically a collection of a lot of the things the human psyche is quietly terrified of.

To think that these things, or some variations of them, probably happened to someone, somewhen. insane.

also, even though I'm theorically Muslim, buddhism is a far more impressive religion. I have read the Quran and even some part of the bible but nothing comes close to buddhism. I love roman philosophers but Buddhist text are truly fascinating, although very hard to understand most of the time.

and so I wish I was a Buddhist monk with a great teacher living in some small shrine lost in the himalayan mountains.

yeahhhh, even for Buddhists we're practically in hell rn

but it's also said in buddhism that there are worst hells that than the human realm and that the human realm is an achievement, a step up from the lower realms of hell ( like the animal world)

of course I'm only using buddhism to explain that even though this is hell, there might be worse hells.

for example, when we're kids, we dream of independence of adulthood and all the options it carries. but when we become young adult, we start to realize that childhood was far better and easier.

It doesn't change the fact that your 13yo self used to dream of your 20yo self. Even though your 20yo self is in hell, it's still the heaven of your 13yo self.

I have every reason to believe that hell is worse.

why? Well, a kid cannot conceive of the difficulties he is going to encounter as an adult. a kid cannot understand that ultimately, he is going to become what he despise the most.

even at 25 yo, I'm aware that despite the absurd amount of pain I'm enduring, I still cannot conceive if how absurdly harder and more painful life is gonna get.

Life is just a pattern/structure that emerged out of chaos (high entropy)
It's a machine which purpose is defined by the "directive" of protecting the existence
of its pattern at all costs, by repairing/maintaining itself long enough until it is able to make a clone of itself,
and then the clone will do the same thing (Survive and reproduce)

This isn't heaven, this is thermodynamics

If you want to believe in this before you die go ahead. But I want no part of it. How horrific. I wish I never read your thread.

If humans are at the top 1%, or the top 0.00000001%, gifted with both reason and a practical body, it's no wonder this hell-hole called earth is in the shape it is. And, now, we're contemplating taking our "intelligence" out into the universe to create new colonies and screw up more? Now the whole universe is doomed. Just another reason to get the fuck out of here.

It's NARAKA, not nakara, same word originates from Hindu, Jainism and Sikhism. In islam it's also called "Narr".
