First of all what are pro lifers? People who say they themselves would never commit suicide? I really doubt they could keep this promise. Everyone has a certain limit and if this is reached they want to commit suicide.
A way worse definition is someone who wants to forbid people to commit suicide. This is insanity. It is okay if you decide for yourself but if someone has made a really well thought decision and is capable of doing that (and yes mentally ill people can come to a rational decision too) he should have the right to do it.

The right for a peacefull death with dignity should be a human right and available in any country for free. To push people into illegality is absolute immoral because they are more likely to end with severe damage or extreme pain.

When I used to be a brainwashed religious catholic I was undoubtedly a pro-lifer. I would say that ctb was only for cowards and they would go to hell lol.

Then, fortunately, I started reading, being more informed and learnt that suicidal people, just like me, are dealing with a lot. Opposite to cowards, they're the bravest human beings on Earth. CTB is the hardest thing to do. Although living until you're a grey old man sounds way too difficult too.

What further is strange about them is that many so-called pro-lifers are also pro-death penalty. That not only contradicts them being pro-life, it also means that they think that people who are accused of heinous crimes should be put to death, yet someone not accused of heinous crimes and someone who wants to die should not be able to access methods to die. When it really comes down to it their position is based on pure emotion and has no basis in logic, so making sense of them is futile.

To answer your question: there is no official definition on what being pro-life means; everyone has their own criteria for what constitutes being under that label. Generally speaking, though, it refers to anyone who is against the idea that suicide should be an acceptable choice, and that it should not be permitted. The problem is that each individual who is against suicide opposes it for different reasons which is why it is hard and sometimes unfair to put all of them into a single group. For example: someone might be against suicide because they see it as an inconvenience to themselves, and not because they actually care about the life of a said suicidal person; that would mean that they are not pro-life since this term implies that they do care about life.

This is why I like to make the distinction between being"anti-choice" and "pro-life". Everyone that is against the right to end ones own life is anti-choice, but not everyone who is anti-choice is pro-life.

Being 'pro-life' just means that you live your life according to a set of moral principles where your life is not your own. Whether you agree or not is moot. Annoyingly that person wants that person wants everyone else to live their lives according to their principles.

What I don't get about them is that they often forget/don't know that they have to die too... Not kidding. Most of them are NOT aware of it.

Absolutely if someone is convinced they are male yet born female, Doctors, feed them drugs and chop off both breasts etc.. so why if you feel constantly over years that you'd like to be dead, can a Doctor not administer that... Seems the ultimate cruelty to section someone and force them to live.
