what happens to your body if you die in another country?

title. Planning a trip to peru and to end it there. What will happen with my body?

Depends, some countries will allow your corpse to stay there, if you so wish, other than that your family or whoever is left behind will have to transfer you home, which can be quite expensive. Am also planning on dying abroad and hopefully stay there, but my mum will have to make the ultimate call.
