What happened to the live chat?

It looks like the live chat feature is gone and I'm not the only one who's noticed this. Why was it taken down? Is it coming back?

So the mods don't know either? Hopefully it's just a server maintenance thing and not a ddos.

The live Chat is moved to the control bar now.
Pm'ing people is what got removed for the time being but the general chats are still there.
