What do you guys jam to? What type of music helps you block out the unbearable shittiness and unforgiveable realm we live in today? I preferably listen to metal! \m/
Sounds interesting, I'll have to take a listen!Dark ambient which makes you feel like you're staring into the abyss. Lustmord, and basially a good portion of Cryo Chamber on youtube.
Fuck yeah dude!!! \m/Metal. It's fucking great and helps me cope.
As with any genre be prepared to go through many boring tracks. But when you find one that clicks, it's like an easy audible escape from things. It will not cheer you up though. But sometimes if I want to numb my mind, I'd rather do it with dark ambient music than pills or chemicals.Sounds interesting, I'll have to take a listen!

Yeah I love anything with melody, seems like most music nowadays lacks creativityI don't actually know what genre they are, but Glass Animals are my favorite band.
They've got a sound that's almost near TV on the Radio, but slowed down and.. on acid or something lol.
I enjoy rock n roll, jazz, blues.. bluegrass can be fun.
The 70's made some pretty fuckin great sounds. Hendrix and Joplin, etc.
Music does cheer me up, despite opinions.. it gets me moving and out of my shitty element. I appreciate melodic noise more than most things.
I feel like.. before, in the past, it took talent and serious time and effort and passion to create music. It took skill on an instrument, not three hours in front of a computer, adding lyrics to the same beat DJ Khaled (or whoever, idk) used last week. It all sounds the same. It's all about the same shit.Yeah I love anything with melody, seems like most music nowadays lacks creativity
Yeah, all of this "trap" bullshit saps my mind whenever I hear someone blare it on their radio, its fucking redundant and should not exist at allI feel like.. before, in the past, it took talent and serious time and effort and passion to create music. I can't appreciate much modern music, but sometimes.
Black metal is my shit manI'm kinda in love with Post-Rock and I've been getting into industrial black metal lately.
Mostly hiphop and weird electronic music tho.
Boards of Canada is my one true love.
I found it hard to get into but its wiiildBlack metal is my shit man
Yeah there are very little bands that are black metal I like but it's still a good genreI found it hard to get into but its wiiild
Metalcore has helped me through a lot of shit, and deathcore is something I go to whenever I'm feeling angryLots of metalcore, pop punk, post-hardcore and deathcore.
I agree! It varies, grim atmospheric stuff, a lot of metal, the odd bit of city pop, some alt rock, bunch of dark country, some e-dubble and some synthwave. Its not about the genre, its about the atmosphere it gives me.
Anything that hits that meloncholic despair spot lmaoI agree!

Bring me the horizon and August burns red are my shit! How about The Devil Wears Prada, they are lyrical geniuses who speak a lot of truth through their lyricsLove Hard Rock & Metal (Five Finger Death Punch, Bring Me The Horizon, August Burns Red) (Too many to list) but I like other stuff. Sometimes it depends on the song or artist. I do like Pop music as well (Some of it)
There are some artists I can't stand. I don't really want to list them. I'm sure other people like them or they wouldn't be popular.

I did not know they had a metal channel on television, considering I barely watch it hahThere is a Metal channel through the tv that I like... also a Rock channel. The Rock channel seems to get repetitive so I flip back & forth. Also like the Hip Hop and Rap channels and a Throwback channel which is cool.
