Hello nice people out there. I've been checking out some of the most commented methods on SS but can't seem to find the ones that always seemed to be the most used ones, like cutting your wrists whilst in a bath or getting some electrical discharge, also in the bathtub. Ok, maybe I just want to die while taking a relaxed bath, but, nevertheless, can't find any info on that.

PS. Tried the partial hangin and all I got now is a bruised neck that I need to hide tomorrow at work.

Simply those Hollywood stereotype methods are not reliable enough. Cutting wrists gives you nothing but pain, but if you manage to cut your femoral artery, this will work, but still remain painful.. As for the toaster in the bathroom, I think the electrical fuse will do it's job leaving your apartment de-energized. But that's just my suggestion, I might be wrong. Never actually though about that)

In my country, the last month, a girl died from electric discharge on the bathroom. Authorities claimed it was an old house and the floor was wet, but they won't give more detailed info. Also read that in Russia a girl died from her smartphone dropping on the water, but I guess that happens frequently and usually it isn't enough to provoque the discharge that would kill you.

I haven't got red eyes at the moment. Checked some minutes ago. But the neck is still reddish. Well, if my eyes turn bloddy, they'll just assume I've been smoking weed for breakfast again.

I think the people who die from exploding phones have them plugged into chargers at the time. Some occur with no water involved.

I think it is because we are researching the least painful methods here, and death by electric shock hurts like fuck. I've been shocked enough times to know that and the electric chair for executions has been discontinued for a reason.

I don't think electrocution will work in a modern house, but bleeding out will work if it's done properly.

You have to open a large blood vessel and make sure it won't clot.

Doing it in a warm bath would help with that.

Wrist cutting is a Hollywood/mainstream stereotype. It is ineffective and extremely painful. If you do it, you're more likely to end up with permanent scars on your arms.

One of the kids I babysat when I was much younger used one of those little trick pens (or something to that effect) that shocks you on me and I thought I had a heart attack for a second lol, I don't remember how painful it was, I mostly remember the look of horror on the poor kid's face.

May I ask how you've been shocked and what it felt like?
Does it feel like a regular burn afterwards?

OP, I imagine if this method didn't kill you, you'd end up like a burnt biscuit, that wouldn't be very pleasant.

What kind of smartphone did she have?
People have been dropping their smartphones in the water and retrieving them for awhile around here, never heard of a death.

I like your username btw

I work on electrical/electronic appliances and worked some on radios too, so i had plenty of opportunities of getting shocked. It feels like you lose control of your muscles for the brief instant you are shocked, until you pull your hand away (or pulls itself away due to muscle contraction) and leaves a small burn.

Radio frequency (RF) shocks do not hurt at all due to something called skin effect, but they can burn you without you even noticing. This is the principle the US non-lethal weapon "active denial system" works on.

If you are NOT looking to kill yourself then do not ever open a microwave oven. If there is a failure in the safety mechanisms, the energy stored in the capacitor inside a microwave oven can stop your heart even hours after it's been unplugged. There, i just gave you an idea...

Edit: People electrocuted by their smartphones likely used knockoff chargers with poor mains isolation, or had their extension cord close to the bathtub, and the whole extension cord fell in.

Modern apartments have this thing where if you drop anything into the water, it switches all of the current off. You just shortcut your entire house and not die. Met a woman in psych ward once with her hand burned pretty bad but nonetheless she was very much alive.
And wrist slitting doesnt work the majority of the time, unless you cut insanely deep and slash through a major vein or artery. And even then they can save you before you bleed out and boom youre either a vegetable or need to do years of physiotherapy for your arms to work again like some guy my dad knew.
I saw this pic of a girl dead by slit wrists, I thought, oh nice it actually worked for once, only to learn that she did partial hanging simultaneously.

You won't really get anything done with electrical equipment in water because your fuses will blow.
You can try cutting yourself but most don't realise how deep you actually need to cut for it to be fast and effective. Superficial and shallow cuts just leave you bleeding for hours on end till you finally lose enough blood. I highly doubt most have enough willpower to actually make the cuts count.
