What do you want the afterlife to be like?

I know a lot of us hope for non-existence but if you could somehow wake up in another life after death or another plane of existence of your choosing what would that look like for you?

I think I'd want to live in some existence or other world where other beings were incredibly kind. Where love was just a natural state that flowed through everything and you could feel contentment and peace.

You wouldn't need energy from killing plants or animals to live. There would be no primal needs that would cause any strife. No need to absorb other energies to live. You'd have bonds with others all your life. Other like minded beings. You could explore and live and do anything. Just a world of complete freedom and endless love. A place where there was a sense of wonder and joy. The laws in this universe would not exist.

I think on earth if I had to choose I would want to wake up as someone who had a partner I loved all my life and we had children and I had friends and family. The world being kinder than it is now. There would be a sense of community, of love and helping others. No wars, crime, rapists,
murderers or abusers.

I think that the better descriptions of the afterlife sound really good- many people express a sense of feeling loved more than they have felt here on earth. WHat happens to people who have done a lot of mean things though? Realistically the best thing would be if the meanness would be taken out of them and that they would sincereely regret the terrible things they have done, but who knows if anything like that will happen.

Basically, like the Good Place but without reliance on Janet. You have to cook your own food, you can catch a cold if you don't wear warm clothes in winter and you have to clean your own home. Yes. I think I like the idea of there just being a world where so much love exists that you just feel it in everything. No struggling your entire life to try to find one person that really love you. No trying to obtain love at the cost of your body, mind and soul. No one exploiting your love, abandoning you, abusing you, shattering your trust. You wouldn't want love it would just be there always for you in every thing. You wouldn't have to be afraid or alone and in that world beings just don't even think to do those kinds of things to you. There's no reason to and the world makes sense. This world has never made sense to me and I've never felt I belonged here. I think if I could have been born in a world like that with nature, love, kindness and no need to kill things constantly just to get energy to live. It's a horrific concept we need to do that in this universe. Even plants are really beautiful. All the food we eat comes from something that was murdered. It's mind boggling to really think about. That there could be another universe you didn't have to do that in and life wasn't constantly based on the primal need to survive by way of constant destruction. So much abuse and horrors inflicted are from the greed instilled in our survival instinct. People want to control others and destroy them and in some sense consume their happiness and love.

I've wondered if "Heaven" is whatever we make it. Whatever we decide Heaven should be, it is. So your Heaven would be non existence. Another persons would be like Field Of Dreams. Mine would be what I typed above. Heaven=whatever would make us the happiest.
That would be nice.

It's hard for me to imagine an afterlife that would make me happy for any length of time. I like the idea of reincarnation, though only if you/your soul actually learns from each incarnation rather than being stuck in an endless cycle of suffering. It makes me think about what lesson my life would impart, and gives me a certain measure of peace that maybe it was good for something after all... but, to be honest, I'm an atheist and I think non-existence is the most likely afterlife.

I'd quite like the afterlife to be a mix of your favourite things and only being able to see people that you knew on earth. Rather than seeing millions of people that you don't know wandering around aimlessly.

However saying that im still relatively young and don't know many people who have died so I'd probably be all by myself until others passed.
