• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

im going to ctb very soon and i wanna know what yall think happens after death in your opinion
I'm probably gonna ctb soon as well, i hope i can get Isekaied to another world, the best case scenario is non existence but it's scary to me regardless, so I'm trying to convince myself that i can live the life i want one way or another.
Absolute nothingness. The nothingness that was there before your birth will be the same nothingness after your death. I don't believe in reincarnation because I think consciousness arises from our brain, and once our brain dies our entire identity and self goes with it. It's hardly possible to have an exact clone of our brain be born again into the world. Who we are right now was already rare enough of a concoction upon conception. I don't believe in heaven or hell either, because I don't believe there is a God. So process of elimination says we cease to exist at all.
Although it is logical and the best scenario for me, it is scary and the idea is disturbing to my mind.

Everyone who is scared, i wish i could give you my lack of fear.
You are afraid because somehow you still believe there is a "you" that can experience being dead. It is hard for us to wrap our brains around non-existence. We are afraid because we don't understand it properly. Everything we are able to imagine always has "me" in it by default, or some kind of subjective perspective if not "me" per se. But there will be no more of that. The brain matter will die, the brain functions will stop, so the thing that makes you feel like a "me" will stop, there will be nothing to do that anymore.

You don't feel afraid of falling asleep even though you drop your sense of "me" (in deep dreamless sleep) in the same way as in death. If you are not afraid of falling asleep there is no need to be afraid of death.

I know the majority might not like what I'm about to say as most of you voted for " nothingness". I disagree. I believe we go to the place where our soul back to life and we meet others we knew in life and from their to the day of judgment: if you're a nice person you will go to heaven but if you're a bad person you will be punished in hell forever. I don't think we just go away. It's just doesn't make sense to me. I do believe in God.

In my heart I hope for it to be the biblical way. Perfect, ideal life, no suffering, no tears, but then again I would see people that disgust me, anger me (or can I even feel those emotions in heaven??)

If it is nothingness, then that would be good enough. I just want eternal rest.
