Always wondered how people who ponder their lives thought about the egg. A short story written by Andy Weir about how and what life really is. I believe it's very possible this is the case, but will we ever know?

Here is a link to the story to read for yourself:

Or a video if you'd prefer to see it animated and narrated:

Speculating on life after death is a useless endeavor, in my experience it leads nowhere. I did it for years, at the end of the day i'm no closer to knowing anything about it. If you want to believe in heaven because it makes you feel better do that, whatever floats your boat, at the end of the day it doesn't matter, what will be will be.

I have already experienced near death by accident. I don't believe there is a heaven, but more in the idea of reincarnation. If there is nothing after death, I am still content knowing the time nears.

Agreed, videos like this only appeal to normies because they like having others think for them and take the input they get for granted without actually doing a critique of it. That video is ridiculous in my opinion. Just a wannabe profound, cool sounding, colorful looking video to get views.

Oh, of course. This was only posted for discussions on opinion. It's not my personal view.
I see it as a possibility as many things could be but it is not an opinion I have solidity in.

I think we spend too much time trying to find reasons why the afterlife is better as a place. Like as an actual world you enter when you leave this one. It's better if we just find solace in knowing the pain can and will end instead.

I think even if you do not believe that this may be the case, living as if it were and everyone you
hurt could be yourself is a good idea.

Haven't read The Egg in a while, thanks for the reminder . Andy Weir is a great author. For those who like reading, may I suggest The Martian? It's about a botanist turned astronaut who gets stranded on Mars all alone and manages to survive for 500+ days... (Not gonna spoil the ending.) Goes to show how strong SI can be. It's been made into a pretty good movie, but as usual the book is way better :heh:.
