what are your favourite rhythm and music based games?

I think that genre of games is very underrated although sometimes I am bad at them

I am always looking for more
to be specific mostly old ones

I don't like the current popular rhythm and music based games

taiko is lots of fun .. recently been into a game called chunithm too. ujl/parappa will always have a special place in my heart though lol
edit: bc you were looking for older rhythm games u might want to check out a game called gitaroo man

I loved parapa the rapper, one of my other all time favourites is elite beat agents for the Nintendo ds. There was another game I remember for the pc called audiosurf which was pretty cool

i should honestly reinstall audiosurf and play it more.

Crypt of the NecroDancer is honestly really fun. I've also heard Metal: Hellsinger is really good, but I need to try it for myself.

Omg! Elite Beat Agents, Rhythm Heaven and Rhythm Thief!

There's also Harmo-knight, and the Donkey Konga games were pretty fun as well

Also, the Persona spin-off dancing games (specifically the one that continues persona 4) are pretty good, though it definitely is more enjoyable if you have some attachment to the game outside of the spin off.

I'd say the best GH/RB title was RB Unplugged on the PSP. Some good less-known ones are Phase (iPod click wheel game), Donkey Konga, and Deemo.

Personally sound voltex. Unfortunately can't play much if at all as there's like 5 cabs in my city and I'm too scared to go outside to them. If that wasn't enough there's a community around them that uses them all the time and stuff which makes it even scarier.

There's things like unnamed sdvx clone but just doesn't hit the same.

I don't play video games now, but when I was a child I liked a simple rhythm game called Project Muse a lot, and so I have a lot of warm memories around it and around the songs that are present in the game

I have always wanted to play a few rhythm games at an arcade but I doubt they have any here like beatmania, groove coaster, etc. if they do have them they are probably far away in the city unfortunately
