Hello everyone.
I used a 2 meters 10 mm jump rope.

Today I made a slipknot with one end of my jump rope and attached the other end of the jump rope to my bunk bed.

I positioned it above my Adams apple, and gently lean forward, and my vision blurred in 10 seconds but interestingly i regained my vision.

Why did that happen? What am I doing wrong?

Any idea is appreciated.

Thanks golfmavenice

You should black out in 10 sec . If u dont feel black out might be the rope isnt near your carotid artery . Its near the adams apple .u can feel the pulse beating

Based on posts here partial fails most of the time. One person posted they tried 25 times and still it didn't work. In some cases it does work but it is not clear why it works some of the time. Based on posts here, most people go unconscious but their body stands up as part of survival instinct after passing out and they wake up.

The person who tried 25 times said he was a former prison guard who saw several people in prison successfully ctb by partial, and he tried to copy exactly what they did- same poistion for sitting, same type of rope, and knot in the same spot, and he was very frustrated that he couldn't get it to work for themselves. One theory is that the prisoners were much more unhappy because fo why and that this may hvae helped them in overcoming their SI. Robin Williams and Katwe Spade are two celebrities who successfully used this method- bothe of them still had a lot to live for if only they would have seen it. For some people who ctb it seems to be their best option for stopping their pain, but for others it seems like a huge mistake- Kate Spade especially. Robin Williams had a serious brain illness he didn't kinow about that likely lead to this, but Kate Spade's main issue seemed to be that her marriage wasn't working well for her for a while. WIth good counseling Kate Spade could have lived happily for many years with all the good things she had in her life.

25 times... 😭 But no brain damage or paralysis? Might as well try it...

Yes, but they can be other unintended effects, such as leaving a red mark on your neck that someone notices that could potentially lead to an involuntary hospiatlization. Certain celebrities got partila to work- Robin Williams and Kate Spade, to name two- how did they do it?

I wish I knew. I read that Robin used a belt stuck in a door sitting in a chair but I'd need a photo to understand

This is what I found reading about Robin Williams suicide.
The belt was wedged between the closet door and door frame. He was in a seated position slightly suspended off the ground. What that means is that his body looked like he was sitting in a chair.

I have seen a few videos of people finding a body of someone who had partially hung themself.
It looked as though they were sitting in an invisible chair. I have tried to test it out and have failed to pass out from it.

Here is a video on youtube which demonstrates it well.

I got some rope today but anyone got any ideas if it will work? It does say not for human weight but if doing partial then should hopefully be just strong enough to CBT
