  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

It feels weird to visualize yourself "dead" but not to know the feeling of nothingness because you will not know what you look like or feel like once your dead. Just a strange thought.

It is hard to comprehend what it is like to not exist as existence is all we know. We simply just do not experience anything. We become nothing. It does comfort me as it is freedom from this terrible life.

I think my greatest bugbear regarding this is the idea of having a funeral. I'm not religious and I think the idea of pumping a person with formaldehyde and sticking them in a box is somehow more macabre than dying itself. Death is at least natural but nothing about a funeral is.

Also the thought of having a funeral pisses me off because I don't want people who didn't help using it as a reason to virtue signal. I'd really prefer a sky funeral if I can arrange that.

I actually feel the same about funerals and the rather unappealing thought of being filled full of chemicals. Human beings are strange in so many ways. But what does wind me up is the "virtue signaling" as you said. In general, a majority of people couldn't care less about others if they tried. But when something tragic happens, they can't wait to throw themselves into the "professional mourning", self indulgent pricks!

I can't help but wonder where all these "caring people" were when the tragedy could have been avoided. Seems rather convenient for them that it's too late for any hard work, but lighting candles and looking pensive and emotional, now that they can do.

People can be so vapid and shallow. :-(

this experience does not matter once you're no longer consciously part of it. You leave everything you've ever known and it all stops permanently. Nothing you've done and everything you didn't do, won't matter. You can only 'live' with regrets.
