If my name is crossed out, hopefully I'm dead.

I can feel this even in myself. There is programming in my brain that makes me feel that it's somehow wrong, for instance, to desire death. And the reason as to why this has been done to us is very simple: we have been brainwashed by absolutely everyone (especially our loved ones) to believe these things, because it's one of the ways to prevent people from killing themselves.
And, of course, society doesn't want people to kill themselves, because who is going to work and consume then? Who is going to pay taxes? Who is going to buy medicines and treatment? And also, who is going to satisfy people's emotional needs? Because yes, we are enslaved by other people to satisfy their needs, whether those needs are emotional or otherwise. If this wasn't true, our loved ones wouldn't have any issue with letting us die.
Death can't ever be a bad thing, it's just not possible. Suffering does not exist in death, and neither does boredom. Many people argue that non-existence is boring, but that's just from our perspective. We are addicted animals constantly trying to fulfill desires and needs, so it's to be expected that something like nothingness will be unappealing to us. But the truth is that it's absolutely impossible for non-existence to be boring, because for something to be boring, there needs to be an entity (such as a person) who can get bored. And obviously there are no people in non-existence (because there is nothing).
On the other hand, there is life, which is this thing that fools us into thinking that it's actually good and preferable to non-existence. But that's far from true, because it is in life that suffering is possible, it is in life that things can go horrifically wrong. Life is the thing that is dangerous, not death.
To revert this brainwashing, we need to deprogram ourselves as best as possible. It can be really hard for most people, because we have been just incredibly heavily brainwashed by everyone. Of course, there's always someone wise enough to see all of this naturally, without needing to deprogram themselves, like FuneralCry.
