I tried to overdose on water earlier
Just when I thought it was starting to work I had to rush to the bathroom where I threw so much water up
Any tips to help prevent the vomiting
Non prescription options only
Thanks guys

No. This is a normal reaction of the body due to water intoxication. It is very rare to die because of overhydration. If you would be lucky enough you would experince cramps, spasms of the muscles and seizures until you finally pass out from it. Really not a nice way to go out. I really don't recommand doing this.

Your stomach could also rupture if you try too hard to keep all the water down.

I am honestly not quite sure about this since heavy vomiting is a reflex action of the human body so you can't really help it

Most likely you'd just vomit it out, but it's a risk. This article says it's more likely if you have an eating disorder that compromises your reflexes: https://www.nbcnews.com/healthmain/can-eating-too-much-make-your-stomach-burst-1c6436940

reports of ruptured stomachs caused by overeating are most common in people with some sort of disordered eating, or limited mental capacity, Vreeman says.
"They have unusual eating habits to an extent that their bodies' reflexes no longer respond as they normally do," Vreeman explains. "Their bodies' reflexes have been ignored or abused for so long that they no longer vomit at the appropriate time. And then once the stomach gets to this extremely distended point, the stomach muscles are too stretched out to be strong enough to vomit the food out."

That must be so difficult to do! There's a video on youtube about a competition turned deadly, where people had to drink loads of water to win something, and although there were several contestants only one woman died from it or from complications of drinking so much, if I remember correctly. Please correct me if I'm wrong if anyone else remembers this too

I'm thinking it would be possible if you dehydrate yourself from working out or hitting the sauna. That way your body won't get rid of it as quickly. I really wish this was a possibly way, everything else is so scary šŸ˜ž

...Ashley felt dehydrated and gulped down four bottles of water, nearly two litres, in a short period of time, around 20 minutes, her family said.

She started feeling lightheaded and had a headache, and once they reached home, she passed out in her garage. Her family rushed her to IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana, but sadly, she never regained consciousness.
