• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Were some of us who suffer so much, born for this?

Everyone is born with a burden of some kind. I don't know if it's fair to say one persons burden is heavier then others, because we can never fully understand another persons circumstance. I think we can also make are burden heavier and more difficult to bare.

Yeah, that's my understanding. It's called fatalism in philosophy.
Even if "you" choose, "you" choose from the "you" which wasn't chosen. Now its just about zooming out and you'll never escape this circle.
I wrote this some time ago. It's pretty simple but strong nonetheless.

I dont believe our lives are predetermined. Pain and suffering are garunteed as part of the human condition. Everything else is from genetics or enviromental factors although we all play a role in our lives

I was raised in a strict Jehovah's Witness household and felt hated by God from an early age. Felt like I couldn't ever be good enough. I used to think at times I was being punished by God (I was abused from an early age also). Looking back, I probably felt abandoned by God. I can remember feeling such sadness, like my life would always be that way.

That's my experience with thinking my life was predetermined.

What was God punishing you for if you had no free-will?

I don't believe in destiny or divine plans. I think it's all totally random. I'm not an anti-theist or even really an atheist but I don't think there's some cosmic switchboard operator dispatching us to predetermined ends. That would be a truly cruel setup.
