WARNING: MiC supplier openly shares personal details of other customers

I have been in touch with a MiC supplier and had a bit of a discussion with them, the process wasn't going all too smooth.

The supplier in question openly shared screenshots of a whatsapp chat with a German customer (name starts with F) containing full address, name and phone number - just to prove to me that he has succesfully delivered a parcel somewhere.

The data in question was deleted again shortly after, but I would have had ample time to save this should I wanted to.

So, fair warning. These guys are very lousy when it comes to protecting your identy.

I don't think we could do anything about how they behave but, if I still planned on going with the SN method, with the information hdead gave us, I sure as hell wouldn't source it from MIC

isn't the reason that we source from MIC now that other places are more careful to not give it to suicidal people, at least in america and a lot of places in europe?

I mean, probably but a lot of folks here talked about obtaining it elsewhere/via other methods
I guess it's all about measuring how risky things are in different cases now

I've also managed to find a B&M source that just gave me a tracking number. I filed a request for a refund from MiC because it's just too shady. This guy is spamming calls, telling me he is a trustworthy businessman and I'm pretty sure he knows what he's doing and what he's contributing to.

I don't really think it would influence their effectiveness/longevity. This is just to spread awareness that there's a supplier out there that is reckless with private information.

Yeesh, yeah, the site alone looked suuuuuper shady to me to begin with, that combined with the risk of it getting seized and the cops knocking on the door when I don't live alone...made me switch my method

If DMC and DSL got caught, MIC's not immune...and yeah, the info sharing part is equally as fucked, if not more

MIC isn't like DSL, though. i can't speak on DMC because i never saw it, but DSL was a way different thing to what MIC is now.

How so? From what I've seen, they also sell stuff that's...not easy to get to pretty much anyone that pays them and there's no way in hell they don't know why SN's used for beside its intended use

Like I can at the very least imagine the site getting blocked from being accessed in the US and EU

MIC is a marketplace with lots of different suppliers. that's the main difference i see.

they're pretty shady but they at least sell supposedly quality SN. i wouldn't, like, buy my ford from them, but i haven't seen
anybody complain about quality

Yeah, I mean, I'm only talking about the vibes I got from the site itself, I haven't contacted anyone there due to the aforementioned reasons

I agree with you. With the recent restrictions placed on SN availability being due SOLELY to individuals buying it to ctb, by definition, a supplier would HAVE to be somewhat reckless to be shipping it to us. That is the inherent, unavoidable reality.

And that comes with risks such as the one described here.
