Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I struggle with the idea that my suicide will mean that my life was a negative for everyone I encountered especially those I loved. That's why I wish there was a way to make something positive out of my suicide. Unfortunately life insurance is complicated to get anything out of unless you already have a good job and can do it discretely. I wish there were billionaires who would pay to hunt me down or use my life in some way that isn't too painful if it left my friends and family with millions. I wish I could be a martyr of some sort so that my suicide and I would be regarded positively by those who remember me. But no such opportunity presents itself. Or if there could be a game like squid games I would sign up in a heart beat although there is no way I would win I could atleast show kindness to a competitor in my death and the games themselves seem pretty thrilling.

I've heard of a very special case where a organ donor gave his life to someone in need, which technically breaks the oath to not harm a healthy patient.
in conclusion, if you really want to go, save someone who doesn't want to die in your way. (not specifically from organ donor, but anything that could save a life for the better)

Reminds me a bit of the movie 20 pounds where Will Smith uses some sort of jelly fish to kill himself in the bathtub but preserve all his organs I wish I could do that and he donates his organs to a bunch of people.

I think if assisted suicide was more a global thing, or suicide by itself, had a lesser negative look in society, choosing your death could be as eventful as getting married
saw the pursuit of happiness recently (which will smith plays in)

Assisted suicide should be a global thing. We weren't asked if we want to be here, so why should we be asked why we want to leave? Anyway op, I would say organ donation too. I don't know how or if it would work, but you could say you want your organs donated if you leave a note.

I looked into it I think that organ donation only happens if you die/are brain dead while in the hospital or ambulance. I'm going to shoot myself so this is not possible unfortunately. At least this allows me to shoot myself in the heart

I wouldn't do that. It's not as instantaneous a death as people think. When you shoot yourself in the heart it stops beating, which will just deprive your blood of oxygen. It's as slow as holding your breath to die, and you'll be suffering the whole time. Not a binary on/off switch. What i'd do (courtesy of the firearms megathread) is aim just above the ear if you're using a handgun, and if not, the back of the mouth with a shotgun. If you aim above the ear the bullet will pass through the pons and the amygdala, the fear center of the brain. Basically, it might take a second for you to die, but it won't matter. Sorry for the long message!
