What video games do you remember with special affection from when you were a child?

I begin, I remember with great affection this game:

Heeey, somebody who also grew up with a Gameboy Advance. For me it was Pokemon though that I spend most of my time with. As a child I could never beat it though.

Pokemon Heartgold

Pokemon Heartgold and Soulsilver were the shit. I genuinely think Pokemon as a series peaked with those 2 games, even if the games were remakes.

Didn't play on handhelds or consoles.

Being as ancient as I am, the ZX Spectrum was my first video game console. This thing was a hoot. You hooked it up to a TV and then put game cassettes in the right-hand side there. We had games like RoboCop, Dizzy, and Lord of the Rings. They were often super blocky or else text-based because this console sucked so much. At one point, the play button broke off the cassette part so we had to jam a screwdriver in there to get anything to run. Good times. Not long after, there was the NES, GameBoy and Windows 3.1 with the usual stuff that we all loved, but this will forever hold a place in my heart.

Hamtaro was so rad! I loved the show and had toy figurines (pencil toppers). My hamsters names were Snoozer and Hamtaro.

I remember those, used to try and get the game Trapdoor to run while it screeched at you while loading. That was if it would load! What I remember most fondly from it though was the game Elite. Still love space trading games to this day.

Red Alert 2. Yuri's Revenge. Rome Total War. Spent hours upon hours playing these games. Loved the strategy.

One of the best games I played. Jet Force Gemini. It was awesome. Yet collecting the tribals was a pain in the a**.

Also, Lilo and Stitch Experiment 626. And Kingdom Hearts. Earthworm Jim. Frogger. Crash Bandicoot. California games by Sega.

In certain versions theres pokemon that heal during raindance or snowstorm. I've wanted to have every pokemon that would heal using this method so I'd never need potions again lol
