I think some people who truly don't understand depression will never get this; they just cannot comprehend wanting to die. They will always see value in life; they are misguided, although I believe they have genuinely good intentions.
Then, there's the argument (that I support) that no one should kill themselves impulsively, due to a temporary, situational crisis. I think this probably happens too often. There should be a three month rule to see if the situation can change.
I agree with him in general, although I'm not an antinatalist; I adore my children, and they had very happy childhoods. I think he's on the right track, he's just a bit too extreme.
