if hes choking then hes probably not doing the nightnight method, the method blocks the cartotid artery but one should still be able to breathe. and one passes out within like 15 seconds. if he did do the method properly then maybe all that movement and noise is the body's survival mechanism after passing out and he didnt feel it?

I thought the point of Night-night was to block the carotids, not go full on strangling. Looks like he just wrapped that around his neck and had some serious issues with the ratchet. He must have been in terrible pain. May he forever rest in peace

I have tried this a few times but could not get my arteries blocked. As others have said, if you cut off your air supply, you are not doing the method correctly. When I was attempting, I could block my jugular veins, but not my arteries. This lead to the "full head" feeling and gave me a wicked headache but I could still breathe just fine the entire time.

He tied a buckle thing around his neck and choked for 5-10 minutes before stopping moving.

Please note that this method is even more unreliable than partial suspension hanging (hence the limited amount of information available on it on the internet).
