As a disclaimer, I am not posting this with the intent or to influence anyone to CTB, whether or not the means is N. I am posting this with an academic purpose and perspective since my opinion and experience below may be of academic or scientific use with regard to expanding our knowledge of the palatability of ingested N among humans. I do not condone the use of N for recreational purposes, nor do I condone attempting to die by suicide.
Hey all,
Having been in the position of wondering exactly how horrible vet N tastes and scouring the threads for desperate reassurance that it may be more palatable than I thought, I thought I'd write up my own evaluation of the taste.
I've finally tasted N (about 1.5 to 2 ml) from a friend's bottle and have to say it was not nearly as bad as I thought.
Yes, it was bad, extremely bitter, with a heavy chemical overtone that lingered in the back of my throat, but it didn't make me uncontrollably gag, dry heave, or make noises of wretched disgust like I had anticipated. The alcohol taste was also a lot less strong than I anticipated, and the bitter chemical taste seemed to overpower any hints of alcohol. In fact, I was surprised to note that my first thought was, "huh, that really wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be."
To put this into perspective, I am a person who rarely drinks and really really dislikes the taste of alcohol, especially hard liquors. To me, the taste of N was really just a bit worse than the taste of a hard liquor like vodka, and definitely similar in terms of the level of disgust it evoked from me. Definitely needed a chaser afterward; can definitely see how a piece of dark chocolate would mask the aftertaste quite well, because it does linger otherwise.
Hope this information is helpful, and please free to reply to this or DM me with any questions. Curious to hear about others' experiences of vet N.
