If I was in the US right now and owned a gun I probably wouldn't be here right now. Today it has gotten very very bad, and if I owned a handgun or a shotgun I would blast myself ten times over. No joke, it would've been it. No amount of SI would be able to stop me. Guns are so easy as well, you don't need to prep or anything like that, I just need that moment and its done.

A gun just isn't everyone's thing. I have several (US) and it's not my first choice. It is my back-up plan, though, in case, for whatever reason, I can't carry out my first choice method. My feelings about it are rooted in the idea, like so many others, that the most peaceful way to die is during sleep. That's how I prefer to go out, not during sleep, per say, but at least reaching unconsciousness first, followed by death of which I will be completely unaware. I can't achieve that with a firearm. Everyone's different I guess.

I understand just wanting to be gone, to me it's so dreadful how there's all this suffering. But anyway I wish you the best.
