There is a certain irony here with Trump heading up the rhetoric and charge to go after the leader of Venezuela on purported drug charges... meanwhile, Trump has pardoned other convicted drug traffickers.

Is he for or against the drugs? Or is it that the drugs are a smokescreen for other interests?

Or maybe we (the US) just kind of suck.

Trump has always pushed the drug thing to try (and fail) to bring attention away from the Epstein files. I believe that Trump would completely topple another country before apologising for his actions that he definitely did

My prediction is we will soon have human trafficking of global leaders. Medvedev speculated Friedrich Merz could be abducted next. He also called him a neo-nazi. Then governments will blackmail each other and use high politicians like trading cards. I am not sure who actually will be in power then. Maybe Merz will lead Russia. Putin the US. And Trump as a punishment that he started all of this will govern one of his beloved shithole countries.

We have been part of regime changes in the past. Interestingly enough, Iran for a while (go back and look at 1960s/1970s Iran) was fairly democratic and modern in terms of dress and sensibilities... but the leader we supported there was corrupt and taking advantage of his people... and there was a rebellion, we kept supporting the overthrown leader which just made it worse... and a more religious zealot type of leadership took the place of a corrupt democratic one... and there you go. Had we not supported the previously corrupt leader OR at least denounced him when the people revolted, then things could have been a lot different in the middle east.

There was similar problems in the Philippines in the 1980s where we supported a leader who was corrupt and greedy even when the people had enough and said so.

In the US our government tends to care less about how foreign government actually treat their people or neighboring countries and more about favors they will do for us. Outside of countries like Great Britain and France and such that have their own sense of things and tend to not be brow-beaten by us... look at many of our foreign allies and note how their leaders tend to be more in our pocket and those leaders we support unconditionally, and only question their leadership or bad deeds when they stop doing things that we want them to do.

It's really kind of sick when you dig into it all.

I know Cuba is not a great place and lots of people there don't like things... but consider how back in the day we 100% supported Castro in overthrowing the bad leadership in Cuba at that time... only to have Castro say "fuck you" to us and then we suddenly hated him. I don't at all like the things Castro did in his country after that, but you have to admire in a way that he used the USA to overthrow the previous leaders and then didn't become our lapdog like we thought he was going to do. He erases all that goodwill by being a dick dictator until his passing... but he wasn't our puppet.

The official narrative seems to crumble more and more considering some reports. Not sure how trustworthy they are though.

I had doubts whether the CIA and elite soldiers under Trump were capable of such an operation. But maybe there was a secret deal between the vice president of Venezuela and Trump.
