What do you think about vehicular suicide? Like driving a car 180 km/h straight into the tree or a pole, or maybe a truck from the opposite direction. Will it be instant death?

Hard to say. Many factors will come into play. The car type, your luck, weather, force of impact, angles, so many factors to it. Some people have survived driving off a cliff in a car, while others have died hitting a wall.

I'd advise when you plan to ctb, don't get innocent people invovled. Like a truck or train driver. You might end up killing him, and if he survives - tramatizing him for life. Don't screw up others.

I had a friend who crashed going 110mph into a tree idk what that would be in kmh but his death was instant, but ive also seen people survive much worse crashes and being left in a vegetative state, it's honestly really risky and as to a truck from the opposite direction I dont think its fair to take a random peoples life along with your own, their death would be put on your hands and it simply isn't right imo

I don't think that would kill the truck driver. It's almost impossible when you r in a car and the other person is in much bigger and heavier vehicle.

There's a serpentine road just down the road from me that has a building just around the penultimate turn.

Many many many people have crashed and died on that road. I believe most of them were on motorbikes.

I don't drive, so it'd be a non starter for me, but it's one method that I don't think I could ever go for as the survival could be horrific.

However, if successful, I assume it'd be instant, or at least you'd be outof it until you died.

Just whatever you do, don't involve other people in your suicide, it isn't fair.

There could be instant death. Car accidents depend on so many different factors. But generally speaking , the higher the velocity the higher the chance to have an instant death. Probably if you wish for CTB via a car accident it may not work for you. Please think of other options as much as possible.

Don't try crashing into a truck or another vehicle. As dumb luck will have it, you could come out unhurt but the trucker and others will be killed. As for the car verses a pole or tree, the car will be destroyed. The pole or tree could be destroyed. But for some stupid luck, you could survive. The plan has to many uncertain outcomes that make a situation worse.

Definitely do NOT crash into anyone else. Don't make your problems theirs or their families.

It's not a good method in general because of the variables. Generally with methods the more variables that exist that determine the outcome, the worse they are. Here you have speed, resistance of the object you hit, safety features of the car, angle, plain dumb luck (or bad luck depending on perspective). I've seen a fella come off a bike at 100mph and fly down a hill and survive with many broken bones and internal damage. Made a full recovery.

So don't underestimate what is possible. You could come out of it anywhere from dead to vegetative, to paralysed to minor injuries to afull recovery.

I don't even know what I think about this anymore! I crashed to try to ctb. Absolute rubbish attempt though. If you are a suicidal person and have a vehicle it's obviously going to cross your mind to use it to ctb isn't it? But cars are built to protect you, so it's not a 100% foolproof method however you do it.

It depends. You'd have to know what you're doing otherwise you could end up crippled. You'd have to be careful about where you do it as well or you could hurt other people in the process. It absolutely could work, but idk about instant death.

This'll hopefully be my plan, by December I'd have gotten into a car "accident" if not while driving car then as a pedestrian. I have to do it and a little advice would be amazing, if you know anything about how to do it, please PM or at least reply to this thread so you can benefit everyone. I know that I want my car suicide to be an "accident" so it has to be incospicous enough to fool a medical examiner, a person college-educated and excellently trained on analyzing suspicious deaths. Maybe crashing at an extremely high speed would be my best option for a guarnteed death but unfortunately it'll be more obviously intetional. Researchers can't really tell apart unintentional passive suicidal behaviour when people crash at high speeds and it's been estimated that, in the USA, 3% of all fatal car accidents are actually suicides that were in-correctly mislabeled as accidents. But...We'll never know because that person is already dead and it might have or have not been a genuine accident. As such, there's a 7%-15% or higher depending on the circumstances that a car accident will be labelled as a suicide. And because my goal is "car accident" and a tragic but natural death, I am forced to pick this method until I either change it for a less painful but significantly harder to accomplish one or continue gracing this world with my pathetic and terrible self.

Actually such deaths happened many times. The driver of the heavier vehicle may lose control due to panic, damage caused to the vehicle, damage caused to him, or the transferred momentum which could change the movement direction. Moreover, you may even miss the hit entirely and survive while causing other driver's death due to his attempt to dodge away from you. And that driver may also accidentally kill other people on the road.

If you do so, use an old compact car. 1980ies or 90ies. Safety concepts of that time did not foresee survival in case of frontal crashs at more than 60km/h. A 120km/h crash into a solid obstacle will be deadly without doubt. The only thing you should consider is that your remains wil have to be cut out of a metal scrap heap in pieces which is a quite straining thing to emergency service personnel.
