Help USB cable with ligature strangulation

is a USB cable able to be used for ligature strangulation? I've been able to get the dizzy feeling using it, but never that euphoric feeling when I'm about to pass out with my hands

for reference, the cable has a rough coating, i just dont know if there is a problem with the cable or my method
