  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Drayke Hardman, a 12-year-old American who hanged himself in his room because of bullying :(
And the other is an Italian who was studying in a New York school, the seventeen-year-old Claudio Mandia who hanged himself in his room after three days of solitary confinement because he was suspended.
I am very sorry for these young and precious souls and their families but reading this kind of news makes me feel a total failure ... they managed to hang themselves at such a young age and I have survived all my attempts to partial hanging ... how do they do it? I really don't know ....

The frightening intensity of those feelings which drive events like this...you would expect them to be felt in the air, to send out a shockwave like a bomb blast. But no, they somehow remain perfectly confined to the skull, and we only catch the aftermath.

It is a sad, unfair world we live in, they must have been desperate and in so much pain to be able to go through with it. Rest in peace.

I've seen a shocking amount of child suicide cases.

I think it's limited caution from less concern for failure. A child is less likely to analyze every little thing that can go wrong versus a fully developed mind. I feel like I've seen developmental studies showing that a child's mind is less capable of understanding consequences compared to the average adult. They also aren't analyzing the aftermath and all the issues in the same way. They just don't think like us, it's scientifically observed.

When I did my first suicide attempt I did zero research and just plowed into it full force. If I had chose an actually lethal method I probably would've had a good probability of ending my life.

It is very true what you wrote!:( I wonder what it is that really makes the difference ... they managed to kill themselves at the first impulsive act (so it seems) Drayke hanged himself with his sweatshirt, poor beautiful kid and instead many others with the right rope etc ... fail and survive
