Doctors can't write themselves prescriptions. One would have to get it from another doctor, who may notice what they're planning, or steal them, which would involve law enforcement and probably get some people fired. The planning would be a nightmare, I imagine.

Yes it baffled me until I spoke to a junior hospital doctor in the UK and asked him if he could get the good stuff but he said it's impossible they are so closely guarded, I suppose he's right as we have had a few mass murderers working in the UK hospitals, killing patients.

Ah I figured, and that makes sense. I think the organizations in charge of doctors as well as the legal system itself figured that doctors writing themselves prescriptions would be highly abusable (not limited to CTB'ing alone but other situations) so they closed such a loophole. Seems like even doctors need to get other methods if/should they choose to CTB themselves and while they could "illegally" acquire such means, it is very risky as it would result in legal issues as well as professional consequences (revocation of license and/or sanctions, fines, and other penalties).

Plus it messes with the life insurance left behind for the family of the person in question died commuting a criminal act.

@Jumper Geo put it the beat way though. It's put under a heavy lock because they know what it can do, and they have to deal with people trying to scam drugs everyday. They'd probably double their six figures if they were able to check out and sell drugs on the street

There was a situation back in 2009 where a prominent German billionaire lost all his money. Adolf Merkel was his name, and he owned one of the largest pharmacutical companies in Germany. There was a big pharmacy in the hospital that had controlled access and a small warehouse for bulk drug storage, and in the operating theatre areas was just loose fentanyl and other stuff i never even knew what it was really at the time. May be it's changed since I dunno.

If you're very careful and do your research I believe it still may be possible to get it on the darknet, i've not done this myself but have found seemingly reliable vendors on empire selling it a couple of months ago and have read accounts of others buying it. But I can't say for sure.

China was prosecuting companies producing it, even in the UK it was in areas where heroin dealers were mixing and selling it on the streets, I was watching documentaries where the supply suddenly stopped, but I reckon I could find it in the USA as the Mexican cartels must still have tons of it hidden or still have contacts in China as they buy in bulk.

Yes, there isn't really consequences on that.
But my guess is they didn't know when to do it, and if they took drugs and in the end regret on that, their career is over.

I've seen Dignitas documentaries and the one to ctb simply takes a drink which puts them in a deep sleep which then makes their heart stop. It does not seem like an involved process, especially for a doctor who would want to use it to check-out.
