Imagine you had the choice between pushing two buttons. One button allows you to go back in time (as far back as you want), with the ability to make different choices. (Ideally to fix whatever you may have broken). But if you press it, you have no guaranteed exit should you need it. The other button causes an instant, painless death. Which would you press?

I would press the death button. I have been mourning my past mistakes and feeling the sting of regret, thinking if only I had done things differently, I might be able to salvage it all rather than face a painful and far from certain end. But then I think if I hadn't made those mistakes, I would have just made other ones. I'm curious to know whether other people would want to stay if they had a "do over" so to speak.

Do I get to keep my memories and skills if I press the first, or is it a full reset? If a full reset I'd go for the 2nd button, but if I knew what I know now I'd go for the first I think
edit: actually I think I'd probably go for the first anyway, nothing could be worse than this path

I seem to enjoy fucking my life up.. so i will go with the first button. Why not just bone it up again with a different method?

I'd press the first button. But, sadly, it does not exist.

Good question. Let's say yes, you get to keep all memories and skills. Like the Rod Stewart song says, "I wish that I knew what I know now when I was younger"

If I got to keep my memories so I could actually make the right changes and get the help sooner then I need, yes I would push the first one.

Then hell the fuck yes, I'd invest in bitcoin and be the guy that bought the pizza for that guy lmao. I'd slay it at school with my currently lame as fuck magic/juggling tricks and I'd know what to do if a girl says she likes me haha
oh and I'd stay the fuck away from drugs!
....but that can't happen :/

I would push the second button without hesitation. I don't really have any mistakes to fix..

Press the first button.

Invest in amazon and bitcoin. Go get help at an early age to improve my social skills. Work out at the gym and get good looking.

Honestly, I want to press the first button. Gimme my sweet 17! There is nothing to lose. Because I know I would be able to CTB anyway. Why would? Because at that time I was yet living with my parents and would not be able to use most of the methods for CTB, just in case............ And then I realized.... Life would be so easy that noone knows where I might come afterwards.

Second one. As much as fixing my mistakes sounds nice in my head. Maybe its not worth it.

Exactly it'd be like groundhogs day but you only get one more life-try, I'd remember everything I did wrong and could correct it, I might not even be in this position. If I could fix all the wrongs, I might have turned out alright

I would: kiss a girl who loved me then, continue doing sports, not start smoking, try to save my manias, start writing a book, encourage gf in pt.1 to come with me to travel around the world, spend time on people who really deserve that.

almost the same as me lol, I'd be far less afraid of girls and pursue the ones who liked me, be social and not all weird, keep up my gymnastics, not move to a drug filled house, travel the world and see whats out there, do lots of mushrooms in the woods

If I get to keep my memories, I would pick the instant painless button, because the majority of my problems came from things out of my control, which started a snowball effect. So knowing what I know now, I'd rather not go thru it again.

I'd choose 2. The things that happened couldn't be avoided anyway. If they could I would pick the first one without question.
