hey was anyone else put in a troubled teen program as a kid/teen? wilderness, boarding school, rtc, whatever kind? just wondering how many of us ended up here as adults. 7/106 kids from my school have died from various causes. two of whom i was romantically involved with.
i went to the grove school in ct and it's known for being 'less restrictive' but it was still extremely traumatizing and abusive. i was supposed to be there for one year but ended staying until i graduated high school.
i will never forgive my parents for sending me there. i honestly don't care what their reasoning was. the information was out there that it was an abusive environment when they sent me. idk. i'm so angry.
