LE infiltrated Silk Road , nefarious people used gaming forums to hide and post info in code (not software) thinking they could evade detection. If LE has a target on this site everything is already downloaded to their database . Look up "Five Eyes" and you will see governments sharing info around the world.
Yes you can stop lurkers from accessing areas within this site but you cannot stop LE , they have the technology and experts to access whatever sites comes to their attention.
Tor browser + vpn ? They still were able to shut down Silk Road so you might think your safe in reality you're not . Why do they allow the DW markets to continue, probably because it's beneficial to them to see where products go plus they get intelligence gathering.
All in all it comes down to this , the horse has already bolted , pointless shutting the gate !

He initially ordered sodium nitrate then a few days later SN.

I thought it was pretty wild to include his pic. The orders were from early 2018, before drama really started, so I don't think they were meant to cause deliberate harm. I am curious where he got his info from and if he did CTB.

I agree, I'm prob guilty of that at first when joined prob asked a couple of things but soon realised literally EVERYTHING you could ever ask it's there to research, mind instantly at ease...just take a bit of time to read what's there. :)

Actually, it's about hypocrisy, imho, their main drive is to feel good about themselves. It takes far less effort to close everything down than to actually listen and show people some respect. One just has to take look at society to get a glimpse of how much people matter to them.

I also don't mean it should be an ultra exclusive site with complex vetting. Just that it seems too exposed with every post available for the whole wide world to see.

Why not leave the "recovery" and "off topic" areas totally public, but make it so one needs x number of posts/days to see all of it? Maybe with an occasional "not a bot" test for good measure. At least the partner thread and the goodbye threads could be protected from scammers and prying eyes. Or maybe vetted members could opt to stay visible only to other vetted members.

Personally, I would prefer an open forum. I just went through my history, but unfortunately it cuts off in November. I do know though that I watched a LT doc in September, looked up the FEN around that time, searched for exit bag and then over the weeks somehow stumbled on this place. Didn't even realise what it was at first, but left the tab open for a few days and then checked it out. Thing is if you type in "suicide" in any search engine you'll get dozens of pages on suicide prevention, but you'll get nothing like this. I do feel I came across this website because I searched on something specific. If we close down the suicide part to the public, others are unlikely to find this place, and imho, that's the biggest favour you could do pro-lifers. The only similar place I've found over the years is LAH, so these places are really few and far between, and I'm wary of such drastic measures.
