Actually, it's about hypocrisy, imho, their main drive is to feel good about themselves. It takes far less effort to close everything down than to actually listen and show people some respect. One just has to take look at society to get a glimpse of how much people matter to them.
Personally, I would prefer an open forum. I just went through my history, but unfortunately it cuts off in November. I do know though that I watched a LT doc in September, looked up the FEN around that time, searched for exit bag and then over the weeks somehow stumbled on this place. Didn't even realise what it was at first, but left the tab open for a few days and then checked it out. Thing is if you type in "suicide" in any search engine you'll get dozens of pages on suicide prevention, but you'll get nothing like this. I do feel I came across this website because I searched on something specific. If we close down the suicide part to the public, others are unlikely to find this place, and imho, that's the biggest favour you could do pro-lifers. The only similar place I've found over the years is LAH, so these places are really few and far between, and I'm wary of such drastic measures.
