Ok, so I tried partial using a shoelace anchored to a towel hook. I put part of a shirt around my neck as a padding (so it leaves less marks/hurts less). I was extremely impressed by the fact that I got dizzy, and even felt tingly in my limbs, since I've never managed to do it even pressing my own arteries with my fingers.

Btw, I also got hella scared and SI made me abort the mission. My biggest fear is that something would go wrong while unconsciouss and somehow the setup will break and I'll be left with brain damage or horrible marks in my neck (that I'll have to explain).

But it's kinda cool knowing that you have the power to end it, not depressed enough right now. Gonna leave it for another day in the future. Thanks for reading. Method seems promising.

Haven't tried experimenting with partial yet but that is my fear as well, something breaking and leaving me with permanent damage. If going with this, one has to make sure every possible point of failure is solid and nothing will snap, tear or break.

My feeling with partial would always be that although can get to the pass out stage, something may go wrong and can't finish the job. Maybe worries that aren't valid but yeah

I thought about hanging after my mother died. I was gonna go to the woods on a summer's day, drink some JD and cola and hang (with a thick rope) from a tree with some relaxing music in the background.

Sounds chilling. And sorry for the loss, man.

Damn, I wish I knew how to compress my carotid artery like that, and pass out easily. I am worried I wouldn't be able to do it, like you said, I haven't been able to do it with my hands and I have watched countless videos of kids passing themselves out for fun, and I just can't seem to do it.

If I could, I would do a partial like that. As it is I am thinking about drinking n and then having my head in a noose, or doing it in a bath or body of water where I will hang or drown while I am passed out. But if I knew how to accomplish a partial without much setup or effort, I would totally go out like that.

The fear of failure is the main thing that is holding me back from ctb. To me hanging sounds like an awful way to leave this world. Thank you for sharing your experience. I wish you the best in whatever happens.

i tried with vinyl tubing that i bought for my nitrogen cylinder which failed due to unknown reasons , i tied vinyl tubing above my apple adams as hard as i could in the manuals written its ritten it only takes 20 seconds to lose conciousness if rightly compress block the carotid artery , i chose vinyl tubing as its more easy on the skin , has more diameter , the discomfort over the skin when getting extremely tightened is less with tubing , still i failed , however there was scar or mark in my neck for 2 - 3 days which disappeared

There are many threads here about partial attempts- posting both before and after- and almost everyone who says they are about to try partial later posts that it didn't work. Most people pass out and then later wake up to find themselves standing up and this leaves red marks on their necks that last at least two to three days or possibly longer, and sometimes this leads to involuntray hospitalizations. This is an unreliable method that does work some of the time.

I see, I guess it also depends on how you position your body. I wasn't kneeling or close. I got my weight supported on my heels. Doubt my body would just stand up during the convulsions. Thanks for the warning.

There was someone who made a post on this site about his experiences with partial. He said he was a former prison guard and that he saw several prisoners die using partial in prison, and they all used a rope with the knot in the same spot and kneeling in the same position, so he saw exactly how it was done. Then he tried this for himself and he tried twenty-five times and could never get this to work for himself, even though he tried to duplicate exactly what they had done. Another recent poster said she tried fifteen times and could not get this to work. Many people who have posted here in the past six months said that after they passed out they later woke up standing up- the survival instinct of the body gets them to stand up even when they want to ctb. And yet it does work sometimes, a couple of recent celebrity ctbs were done this way. Why it fails so often but works sometimes is not clear.

Thank you for the info. That's odd.

You can do partial suspension, that good. If you're afraid that you might wake up, you can do a partial suspension that's
more like a full suspension. So instead of just kicking the chair right away, you kneel on it instead, with one leg kneeling out of the chair. That should make you pass out, before your body falls out of the chair and all the weight of your body is applied to your neck. It's exactly how I did it, and believe me when I tell you that my anchor point breaking was the only thing that saved me. I mean I woke up with a fucked up tongue, brain damage and shit in my pants. Obviously I didn't stay unconscious for 10 seconds before waking up. I don't think there's anyway this method can't work if your body is as skinny as mine.

Thank you for the info. That's odd.
It fails so often because people use positions that can't survive the convulsions. Your partial suspension should always look more like a full suspension to be 100%. In the picture below, after this guy has passed out, the convulsions could reduce the pressure on his neck, and that's what wakes him up.

The first two positions in the picture below shouldn't have this problem.
