So I consumed about 1 gram of sn with like 5ml of water. It's been about 30 minutes. Literally nothing. No symptoms at all. I had not eaten anything for over 6 hours. The water tasted slightly tangy. Could it be that my sn is a dud?

Edit: so I had slept as it was two in the night. Just woke up and Im totally fine. I didn't use a gram scale. Manually took over two pinches, hence the "about" one gram. LD50 is two grams so I really hoped the amount I took would atleast give me a slight symptoms.

I don't think 1g would be enough to do anything. The recommended is 25g

They also recommended to not do any test with the sn

What is 1g supposed to do? That isn't N where a small dose can be felt.

1 gram is not a small amount. If you had a pulse oximeter, it could provide meaningful data. Do you have discoloration on your fingertips and lips?

Are you serious?? LD 50 of SN for humans is 2g. It means that 2g will kill 50% of people who take it. 1g is pretty danger dosege. @Ssls if you want to stay alive call someone and tell what you did.

Please do not mess with this stuff. Others have died doing tests in the past. If you want to do a test you could perform a blood test don't test it on yourself by consumption it's poison.

Well he didn't come back after posting this thread.
I suppose he did feel something after all.

Kids, don't experiment with poisons. Please.

Maybe they took more? I rarely hear about users using scales just teaspoons to measure.

Ingestion of 1-2 grams SN causes severe symptoms.

The estimated lethal dose is 4 grams.

Clinical effects are seen within minutes and are maximal in 30-60 minutes.

Never understood the reason behind "testing" sn by taking it.. there have been a few people who did this and never logged back on :/

Are you ok OP? I am tempted to test my SN out too, but I think I would rather just go all the way when I take mine (20g instead of 1g). Well I hope you're either sleeping it off, or have gotten some help. You should have noticed some discoloration with your skin (nails and lips), and some fatigue.

EDIT: And it can take longer than 30min to feel the effects. I don't believe you've reached peak plasma levels in 30 minutes. I'm sure something happened, so I hope you are ok and able to respond to us.

My thoughts on this might be off the mark.

So correct me if I am wrong.

But, supposedly, 4.2 grams equals a teaspoon, but usually it is rounded to simply 4 grams.

That would imply that if one does not use a gram scale, they might have no idea how much of an x item they are testing.

And if this person just eyeballed a level teaspoon and thought it was good because it looked like a small amount, I think they might have made a huge mistake.

Definitely. He said he consumed "about 1g". If he didn't use a scale, then he might have really underestimated his measurements.
Why what?

Why do you plan on testing it by taking it?

I didn't say I planned on it, I said I've been tempted. There are a number of reasons why someone might want to test a low dose. Curiosity of exactly how one will feel (not just reading about it) is one reason.

thanks for the update. Glad you are ok.
Still don't think your SN "is a dud". Please be careful.
