I personally wouldn't risk this to be honest. People have been criminally charged for doing this in the past and apart from the legal risk there's also the risk of your bottles breaking during transport.

In addition, how are you planning to travel abroad to buy N during this pandemic? You'll also probably end up paying as much as ordering from D for such trip (flights, hotels,...) , without any guarantee you'll find legit N.

I agree with @HopelessFight. Plus from what I've read it's getting increasingly harder to obtain in Mexico because of the crack down on vets selling. Also not the safest travelling through a pandemic. It's pretty hectic right now. With D it's a simple transaction and it's done and delivered.

Ohh wow I actually never considered the powder version for some reason, at the time when I ordered(last October) it just seemed like N from A was easiest to get

This is not something authorities are typically looking and screening for in luggage especially when considering the amount of liquid products (hair, mouthwash, legal Rx, etc.) people have in their luggage. Customs screening would likely be more strict than TSA screening and based on experience we already know most packages make it through customs.

TSA (or another country's airport security) is way more strict than customs lol. In most countries, 98% of packages aren't x-rayed but luggage is pretty much guaranteed to be x-rayed.

I never implied it wouldn't be X-rayed. What I implied was that there is nothing special about a bottle of N that makes it flagged for opening in a suitcase. There are plenty of bottles, glasses, etc in the same shape that carry other liquids. Who knows it could even be holy water inside. If TSA opened every checked bag with liquids the bags would never make the flights.

Nothing in life is without risk. If you think its risky then don't do it. Research it for yourself as no one can convince you otherwise.


As someone who has always been a repeat target of so-called "random" extra security screening and unnecessary questioning about my background and profession because I look young and / or travel alone, I'd assign it a probability of being very low based on the items predominantly screened for in airports, and the types of contraband screened for in those machines they wipe your luggage and hands with. TSA is not looking for the one lowly person with a bottle of Nembutal in their luggage.

The best you can do in my opinion is to poor that 200ml of nembutal into an empty bottle of Tequila and put THAT in your luggage. This is way more secure. However, in Derek Humpry's opinion, you only got 1 month to use your nembutal after opening your bottles. Good luck ! Oh, and an easy way to get your hands on N would be to travel to small towns where they won't ask you a vet prescription. I would tell you where I got mine but I promised I wouldn't ;)

Yeah liquid and air travel is extremely scrutinized these days I guess because there are liquid forms of explosive. So all the xray machines are looking for liquids. Even if it's in your checked luggage it might get opened. Agree with @bobmorane that the best bet would be to pour it into some other kind of bottle. I think ideally though you'd just ship it to your destination and not travel with it.

by the way, if someone interested. I had 0,5 kg of sn (labelled) in my luggage the other day. Noone gave a shit. It was in a plastic bag. Even if they searched me I wouldnt care. I'd say I make sausages.

Again if someones interested. I had N with me at the airport. They actually looked at the bottles. And that's it. No problem. I didnt even care maybe because I was on many pills haha

You got lucky. Trying to travel and bring it back in is a huge risk. It's best to just order from D
