Discussion touhou 6 remake

i am super excited for it!!! i love touhou, everything touhou. ive played all the games except for the fighting, camera and like impossible spell card and such, just the num.x games.

it makes me think about touhoy 8, imperishable night. itd my favourite in the touhou frsnchise, i love kaguya, reisen and mokou. i love the music, characters and spellcards.

i cant wait for TH6 remake, im hoping pc98 will eventually get a remake into the windows era.

PC-98 remakes would be really neat to see indeed! Bringing them to windows era, that would definietely be a community-changing experience.

The reawakening that the Touhou 6 remake caused in the community is really awesome. For me, this was my first touhou that I played so seeing it being remade makes me feel very nostalgic! I'm happy for people that are excited for it, and I myself will probably eventually try it out after it's released!

Always good to see Touhou mentioned here...... I also love Touhou and am excited there will be a remake. EoSD is only getting harder to run on modern PCs, so this was needed.

I would LOVE PC-98 remakes, 4 and 5 are still some of my favorite games in the series........ they probably won't happen, but I can dream.

I don't really care much for remakes tbh~ however, if a lot of the PC-98 characters could appear again, or they could make a game in that style with all the humor, great characters, and everything, it'd be incredible~ >w< I might consider playing it just like I considered playing Touhou 19 (altho, I still have yet to tho)~ I was just playing Touhou 3, my favorite Touhou game today! ^_^ hehe~ it's still so much fun~ >w< and 4 and 5 are both amazing to~ ^_^ 2 is good plot-wise as well~ :)

and also, yes, Touhou 8 is easily the most well-made Touhou game~ >:3 ghost girls are so fun~ >w< it feels like a game the series should've copied more from in future games but alas~ >~< I really shouldn't be saying that tho considering I started with Touhou 10~ xD

I only know a very tiny bit about touhou, but what makes you prefer the pc-98 games and the windows over modern ZUN stuff?

before I start, I've never played anything after 12~

but anyways, I prefer the PC-98 games more because the characters, music, plot, and especially the humor a lot more than the more modern games! ^_^ it's just sooo good! >w< Both 4 and 5 play like Windows Touhou games too, and 3 is really fun to play with others as well! :)

Windows Touhou's music is great too ofc, but just the style of the PC-98 music is classic~ the plots and humor are just so much better in the PC-98 games imo~ ^_^ the characters of 6-12 and the PC-98 games are similarly good~ :) however, I don't really find the modern Touhou characters too interesting, which is probably a big part of why I haven't played any of the newer games~

Regarding 2, the music is good, but its gameplay should probably be remade to be more like 4 or 5~ ofc, its dialogue and characters are still incredible tho~ :)

Regarding 1, it plays completely differently, and I do know people who like it~ It's pretty interesting but not anywhere near as fun for me as 3-5, 8, 9, and 11~ :)

Summary: I like the humor and plot more~ :)

To be fair, whenever I do look up ost for touhou, it is windows 98 most of the time lol. It is pretty unique. Have you played touhou 1 though? I wonder if you actually liked how different it was if you played it.

Yeah, I've beaten Touhou 1 on Easy, altho I've beaten all the others on Normal or Hard~ :) personally, the lack of any in-game dialogue is a huge downer for me regarding Touhou 1~ as such, you don't really get to learn about Mima until the next game, and practically know nothing about the other characters~ >_< regarding the gameplay, I like danmaku games more personally due to the feeling of being against everything yet somehow coming out on top while this game tends to be more relaxed yet frustrating imo~ The yin-yang orb is your biggest friend and enemy~ xD
