In what context? Prozac is a drug that takes weeks to build up in your system to notice a difference. Unless you have some weird side effects to it which some people do immediately. That can't be your starting dose? Or did you take this to try to CTB?

Prozac is a drug that specifically was made so you couldn't overdose on it.

Hi !

So, that wouldn't work to cbt, or actually I think it wouldn't do much to your health, unless you take it everyday, for weeks. Maybe you get a few headaches or pain in the stomach.

As a user of the forum once said, let's not increase our pain, which it's already at unbearable levels.

As others have already asked, in what context did you take it? To treat depression/anxiety, recreationally or as a suicide attempt?

That is nearly three times the recommended maximum daily dose. But it's not going to give you any fun side effects, and it's certainly not going to kill you. Nor is a single dose going to treat any underlying psychiatric conditions.

At worst, you might get an intense dose of the typical side-effects.

If you can elaborate on the reasons for taking it, we can probably provide more information. Do be aware that, as a rule of thumb, it is almost impossible to suicide using prescription psychiatric medications. This is partly by design.

I find it interesting that the common misconception is that taking a concoction of pills, any pills, leads to death.

If that were true, it's likely that 80% of forum users might not be here.

I blame vague coverage in the media. "He had taken a concoction of pills." The reality is that only very specific and oftentimes near impossible to obtain drugs serve to this end.

If I misinterpreted the original post, and the pills were taken for antidepressant purposes only, drugs like this have a slow drip effect with regards to effectiveness. The results are accumulative over time, not obtained by maximising the dose in one go.
