Just to get it out of the way, no it isn't pleasant.
I don't mean eating the plant
To concentrate a dose, first the root system is crushed or cut (root system because it has the highest concentration of toxic alkaloids in the entire plant, it'll take a couple or three plants to get the end result)
Next, using distilled water to make a basic tincture, basic tincture is like when you're infusing alcohol with a fruit for the flavor except you're doing it with water.
Then, to get the concentration needed, it's boiled and impurities are removed, leaving only the concentration. It's best to use an alembic for this but there are many way to do this, they just aren't as efficient and will require more materials.
The concentration is what is wanted, for comparison, instead of a few leaves or berries at dosage, imagine a few plants.
My research is finding a way to deal with the unpleasantness of the process, I just haven't found anything yet. Not plant based anyway. But there is an answer, I just need to find it.
