I understand we all have our own biases but is it really hard to not express such biases so blatantly? Surely you can think before you speak or write something down. Realize that every individual is different. I try.

Basically, at the end of the day, everybody knows, the fact of the matter is, as a general rule, usually, in most cases, the way I see it, I'm just right about everything and you should all listen to and agree with my views otherwise boy do I have some choice words for people like you.

Individuals have so little leverage on understanding the world, so it's a really quick, lazy way of feeling some power. Big claims about groups based on so little evidence. It is why stereotypes are so prevalent. More reliance on system 1 thinking rather than system 2, higher brain processing to question whatever the fk it is they're claiming.

It is known in statistics as subjective/judgement sampling to choose who will be in a sample, in order to represent a population / larger group of people. It is a terrible biased method for sampling as it conforms to preconceptions held, as well as a long list of other errors. This explains how someone can have a few bad experiences with black people and make some generalized behaviour claims about an entire race of people.

Coming from a poc yes i get your point and its extremely annoying especially when as soon as one blck person is a criminal you hear "oh black people are criminals" and if one blck woman is loud "oh black people are loud". So you live life trying to not fit in any of those stereotypes so youre never really yourself. You cant express yourself in the way that you want. Not meaning to make this about myself just needed to vent.

Coming from a poc yes i get your point and its extremely annoying especially when as soon as one blck person is a criminal you hear "oh black people are criminals" and if one blck woman is loud "oh black people are loud". I'm sorry. I feel you, It seems like all my life I've tried to be myself while attempting to break all associations with certain negative behaviors. Hard not to take blanket statements personal when they have to do have to do with your sex, nationality, race, etc. Sucks man.
