I have tinnitus and it can be extremely annoying. Sometimes putting on headphones with music covers the sound.

Stop listening to music at 90% - 100% volume OP. You will still enjoy it at 65-70% if you make it a habit
I have tinnitus too, I don't hear it every time though

That's awful. I had to google what that was, I couldn't put up with constant ringing ears. You poor bastard. It affects 1 out of 5 people too, holy shit.

How often does it bother you? What would you compare the volume to?
It doesn't bother me at all for some weird reason, the thought that I have my days numbered makes me care less about my body (unless there's pain of course). It's like having a bee near you, sometimes you can barely hear it, sometimes it's annoying but not enough to make you insane

And it's exasperated by caffeine, which is something I can't (or won't) give up. Stress makes it worse too. Super annoying it is.

I've had it my whole life (or started when I was too young to notice) and it has it's moments when it's very noticeable, but for the most part I've learned to deal with it.

I have it too in my right ear. Only when I try any of that masking shite it just makes it louder. It's one of the reasons I intend to ctb. I've had enough of my body. Human beings need silence and to feel still sometimes, those two things I never get. I seem to have accepted all of this, it hasn't broken my mind, I won't give it that. I am going out of this world sane and with my resolve in tact thank you very much.

If I inflicted tinnitus onto another person, I would be in breach of international laws that prohibit the use of several methods of torture, it's that bad.

Sometimes it is tinnitus that sufferers experience, but I think a lot of the time it is actually a phenomenon known as the 'Worldwide Hum'. I don't have tinnitus, but I hear the Hum which is especially loud at night. If I put in ear plugs, it just gets louder as there is no ambient noise to mask the hum.

The Hum is an extremely low frequency sound that I believe is a conspiracy to torture those that are sensitive enough to hear it. It's one of a few tactics in a strategy of 'Mind War'. I could go on but if you are interested, the second link goes into great detail:

I have had it since bone marrow transplant, one of the many 100 side effects you can get. But I honestly have so much else going on in my head, it's the least of my worries. Most annoying at night when you wanna sleep though.

One of my friends had this really bad where he went to a specialist out of state and had 13 surgeries total in his ears. I can feel your pain. He felt like blowing his head off with one of the shotguns his father had in the house. I hope you can find help for this
One insensitive doctor told him he has to learn to live with the constant popping and cracking in his ears. Just reach out to the best specialists you can and be persistent. That's what I'm doing. I'm going to exhaust every last option possible before I give in. When the war is completely lost you really have no option.

Yes!!! Omg, this started after being exposed to benzos and withdrawing from them! The issue doesn't even lie in the ear, it's in the brain. Surgery doesn't even work for this case.

Wow I'm sorry. It started for my friend after unnecessary radiation for his thyroid. It left him with other fucked up conditions he has learned to manage and live with. Some shit is just not fixable and unbearable to live with.
