Whenever I discover a thread that has no replies, regardless of how old or recent it may be, and I see all the other threads above it and below it with tons of replies, it makes me feel sad. Whenever I come across threads like this, I try to reply if I can think of something to say, but sometimes it's difficult to find the words, especially when the person who posted the thread is going through some horrible shit and I know that nothing I say can make it better.
It doesn't matter where the thread is either, whether it be in Suicide Discussion, Recovery, or Off Topic. At the very least, I know that even if I do leave a reply that isn't very helpful, it at least bumps the thread so more people notice it and it gets a second chance. I myself have made threads in the past that fell into this category, but I don't feel upset about it or anything. I just feel worse for others who experience this, especially if they are new members because I don't want them to feel left out you know?
