Missing for a week now I say dead

Geography student still missing one week after car found by dangerous marshland
The 'personable and sociable' 20-year-old has not been seen since last Thursday and his worried family are appealing for information.

A geography student who was planning to study marshland near Southport is still missing one week after his car was found next to the nature reserve he was researching.

The family of Adam Seaton, from Southport, are now appealing for anyone with any information about his whereabouts or who may have seen him to come forward urgently.

Adam, 20, has been missing since the evening of Thursday August 9 but a car used by Adam and his family was found the next morning parked at the RSPB car park in Southport, which leads to dangerous marshland.

Adam's parents, Andy and Karen, have since learnt that he was planning to study the area for his Geography work at Edge Hill University next year.

No contact was made by Adam, who works at the Morrisons superstore in Southport, after a text message conversation with a friend at 6:10pm and the family are now desperately appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Andy said: "The car was left by the nature reserve on the Coastal Road at Marshside in Southport so we're really keen to understand what happened from there and whether anyone saw Adam around there or has seen Adam anywhere because we really don't know where he's gone from there.

"If anyone was passing that particular area, has any dashcam footage or just feels that they saw Adam, if they can just get in touch with the police, with missing persons charities, whichever route, just to let somebody know."

Andy described his son as "very personable and sociable", with a "good group of friends".

He also revealed that Adam is a scout leader and has always been a "hard working" and "reliable" role model.

Karen last heard from Adam when she rang him from work on Thursday morning, as she would any day, and said nothing was out of the ordinary.

Although he wasn't home when they returned from work, it did not set off any warning signs as he often would take last minute shifts at Morrisons, where the phone signal is poor, and would sometimes work until late at night in the warehouse.

The family became increasingly concerned overnight and Adam's sister Helen, 22, spotted the car the next morning.

Merseyside Police has also issued an appeal relating to the car, a red Ford Fiesta with the registration MK59 GHA.

When last seen he was wearing a burgundy tracksuit top with 'France' embossed on the arm, black and white T-shirt, blue jeans and burgundy Puma trainers.

He is known to frequent the Churchtown area of Southport.

Anyone who has seen Adam or knows of his whereabouts is asked to Direct Message @MerPolCC on twitter, call 101 or contact Missing People on 116 000.

Either he wants to leave and was really cautious about that or someone targeted him for some reason. Maybe for organs ? That is happening around sadly.
