This site saved me from homelessness

I wanted to give an update on my situation. I got very, very close to homelessness. In the Interest of transparency. A very kind and and generous member here offered me a room. Things aren't good. I'm still very suicidal. BUT they're much, much better than they would have otherwise been. This site has stopped me, several times, from killing myself. This place is special. Really. It is.

A member in this forum told me about a welfare programm in my country that I wasn't aware of. And I was accepted and it really really helped me thus far. It really made a change in my life. I talked with so many people in the health care sector before and no one told I might be eligible to receive this money. And eventually I got it with the help of someone on here.

I'm hoping that if I ever get stuck in Australia that user @EmptyBottle will offer me a room... but that probably won't ever happen because Australia scares the fuck out of me.

That's really nice to hear and great that someone offered some space to live to you when you needed it most.

I have to say, simply being able to talk about some stuff and get a non dismissive response or no response at all has arguably made me less suicidal and wanting to keep up the fight against feeling dreadful as well – at least to some extend.
