"Altogether there are over 300 million cases of mood disorders recorded worldwide. Between 2005 and 2015, there was an increase of 18.4%, alluding to a continual yearly increase in the worldwide prevalence (Ferrari, 2013, Depression and Other Common Mental Disorders Global Health Estimates, 2017)."

Microplastics could make other pollutants more harmful

Billions of nanoplastics released when microwaving baby food containers

The more I learn, the more I understand why more and more people are screwed.
I got screwed too, now I have no choice but to leave, I hope to have the courage very soon, you have to be very cold with yourself to ctb, but I'm in pain and unwell, so I know I'll get there

we've got less than 200 years to get out into space and bring resources back otherwise we will be stuck on this rock without any resources

rising sea levels, depleting fish population, soil erosion, global warming ,deforestation
running out of sand, running out of helium, coral reef destruction, increase of mental illness
fresh drinking water running out, trend is towards an older population, declining of births rates
decline of sperm count in men,the world's rare earth metals are running out,Increasing total debt
Increasing unemployment.collapse of ecosystems and loss of biodiversity,
chemical pollution of the Earth system, including the atmosphere and oceans, depletion of resources
3 Trillion Trees on Earth, 15 Billion Cut Down Per Year we have at most 200 years worth of trees left

This has puzzled me too- the amount of plastic and just artificial crap we inhale and digest has to be colosal. It must be having an effect on our bodies and brains. You have to wonder if there are links to mental illness.

I guess it's my cynical hatred for our species but I hope we wipe ourselves out before we start f*cking up other planets. Isn't it bad enough what we've done to this one? I truly hope we don't spread our disease any place else.

I really hope the hairless ape doesn't successfully advance to another planet. The universe deserves every bit of what it has coming if it allows that to happen.

I don't believe that this world could ever be a desirable place to exist in, in my case I don't even see existing as being desirable at all. This world truly is such a dreadful and hellish place and I hate how it's so difficult to permanently be free from it.

Honestly, it feels like we're reaching whole new levels of consumerism. Eating whole planets and spitting out uninhabitable and useless rocks.

As much as I'd love a future in space, realistically, having to live life in space, ESPECIALLY if earth-life was ruined, would suck. It'd resemble living in a submarine or an arctic science colony. We simply can't simply re-create earth under those conditions.
Honestly feels like everything real in life is being replaced by copping-mechanisms. The only reasons things aren't bad as they would be is because we havent fully crossed over into "dark age 2". That'll be when all the debts and problems set aside for "later" suddenly become unignorable.
....Do I even need to mention where society is going without it needing to cut it's roots to rise to the void?

As soon as 2025 , it could be armageddon according to that , it already begun this year with the size of forest fire never seen before. It's not gonna get better , movies scenario will become real.

I wish i was never born but at least i grew up in the 80's and 90's innocence, i dont think kids today can enjoy that same peacefulness we had growing up, knowing their parents brought them into that mess.

What kind of lunatic wants to have child these days.
