I know I know, it's a book & movie. And most fiction around suicide isn't realistic to how hard it is to achieve but I was thinking about the virgin suicides just now and literally started laughing at how easily all the sisters managed to ctb, without trialling methods, just going for it. I know they threw in a few failed attempts in there. But the youngest managing to die by getting herself impaled in the fence after cutting failed, then the night they all ctb at once and they somehow manage to do it with a load of boys running through the house, parents asleep upstairs is hilariously unrealistic. And the girl that survives succeeds later on with OD which isn't very successful as we know.
Can you imagine if it was as easy as it was in books and movies?
Idk, it's still a great book and it was easier to cbt back then but still they made it way too easy.
