  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

The biggest reason I hate existence is because it never guarantees safety from horror and torment. I just caught this article while perusing a news feed:

It shows a woman who was once enjoying a comfortable life, but now suffers in homelessness, and has been for 6 years now. The torment this woman endures must be unimaginable. Just the fact that it's possible to become homeless is all I need to hate existence. This is why for me, suicide can never be wrong. What is wrong is existence. I really get the sense that there is something vile and corrupt about it, because of the evils it permits. I'm aware how superstitious and hyperbolic this sounds. But the threats which lurk for you as soon as you exist are so dire, that sometimes I wonder if this place is actually the devil's work.

Something just feels off to me on the article. Like the author was trying to use her story as a was to get more clicks without actually trying to do something to help her. Like her situation was just a spectacle to gawk at.

It's the pictures of her digging through the trash that gets me. It means that someone stood there and took a photo of her and given from what I know about celebrity photos, sold it to the highest bidder for commercial use.

I don't know, something just feels off to me, I most likely could be wrong though.

There's definitely something disgusting about it. Being photographed and having news stories made about her 'fall from grace' is yet another insult this woman has to endure, as if the vagrancy alone wasn't already too much.

I do see life as being very cruel and unfair, it is horrifying that so much suffering exists. I do believe that wanting suicide can be perfectly rational in a world like this, just hearing about awful things like homelessness is enough to make me want to leave. I really wish that I was never born as to never exist means to never suffer.

Homelessness scares me badly too. I feel two steps away from it at any point. We are one or two steps away from disaster at any point.
