  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I think it says a lot about this life that sleep which allows for a temporary escape from this reality and consciousness is what I like most.
It's a kind of temporary death.
It allows me to escape my mind - my bad memories, my bad thoughts, my bad feelings and my worries.

Yeah, it's some short term respite and a way of being able to ignore anything that causes issue.

I feel the same way at the moment.
And scientifically speaking, sleep is close to death.

I wasn't able to feel peace even in sleep, kept on having nightmares but since I started seroquel I started seeing nice dreams again sometimes even in the magical dimension of childhood dreams, the days I'm not drinking I'm taking one sleeping pil after another, I live in dreams now that I lost my ability to daydream, and well that's death for an artist.

Yes I'd also like to use sleep as a form of escapism. But I have a horrible insomnia and nothing helps. Days are so long then when you get so little sleep. It's even harder to endure everything. And you're so tired. How to recover when you're so tired...

I see sleep as like a trial run for death, it is a break from life. Even know I have nightmares, I love the act of being asleep. Insomnia can get in the way though. Waking up can be the worst feeling, it is disappointing.

Yeah, it's a great advertisement to CTB. Like another thread said recently, the worst part of sleeping is realising you woke up.

The only escape I have is sleep. Even drugs don't work anymore.
the very first thing I think of when I wake up every morning is, oh shit, not another day, please I cannot handle another day.
