For me, the words I love to tell/ hear (from) myself the most are: 'You don't have to do that right now. It doesn't matter if you do nothing.' It's extending to just about everything- getting up in the mornings, all household chores, work. It's another reason I know death is my preference- when I don't want to deal with anything associated with life. Of course, it doesn't help long- term. All that shit does need doing.
I suppose I also tell myself that I can get through whatever it is I'm struggling with. Chances are, I've had to before.
As to kind words other people have said to me. I used to love it when people said I was similar to my Mum. She died when I was 3. I have a cherished hope that I am like her. I'm doubtful now though. I doubt she was as bitter as me. I also respond well to validation. People acknowledging that certain things in my life must have been difficult.
What are your 'sweet' words? Either that you say to yourself or, that other people say to you.
