Probably not the place to post this but I have to say once I read the word peacefully I became jealous. Does one have to be that old to reach a peaceful death??? How can we all not be envious?
Just step back and look at all our posts, questions, methods… some of us willing to resort to almost anything to stop the suffering.

I can't really believe that I learned this news through SS, but wow. What a news... She's been around since way before ww2, it was like she would never die. May her soul rest in peace.

I also learned this first here on SS. Just another person passing away. It will not change my life, nor will the new monarch.

Im not doubting she had her troubles. But from what Ive heard, she never had to open her blinds without someone else doing it for her. They probably wiped her ass when she took a shit. Im sure being in the royal family would be a head fuck. But I dont really feel sorry for her. Shes dead but o well. Does it really change the world? No.

I am not really very sad. She had a long and fulfiling life. I am way more affected when I hear that people from Ukraine get traumatized or die. I mean what can one wish more? I think she had way more than average life quality and lived a very long life. She seemed to be happy.

Maybe I am just not that affected because I dislike the principles of monarchies. Mabye I had a different feeling if she would have been in favor of reforms or the abolition of the monarchy. It is such an unfair system. I know the life of a monarch can also be hard. A lot of pressure, being famous etc. But I think she was quite conservative and coming generations might won't like to dedicate their whole life to the monarchy. And I think this is absolutely understandable.

It is the genetic lottery. You live a luxury life style but the whole world is interested in you. People should be able to choose. Moreover one should have to earn such a position and not getting it because your family is noble.

'Peacefully' well what do you expect them to say? That the Queen yelled and screamed and shouted 'I don't want Megan at my funeral!?'--We must take these 'died peacefully' statements with a grain of salt--What's more true is she suffered from broken heart syndrome, her old husband died just 16 months ago
Yet I don't think it will effect us, the suffering, the less fortunate and the sick.

she was a parasitic racist that helped covered up pedophilia, incest, and other sexual abuse in the royal family. she was a colonialist and a transphobes among countless other atrocities. yet she lived a life of the utmost luxury, with her death prolonged undoubtedly by the best medical care in the entire world.

i'm positive that if so many of us on this site had access to at least half of her resources, we would have never joined. i hope she rots in hell for eternity,

I can't say I disagree with what you said. Especially the part about having luxury like she was afforded and the medical care she had access to.

Did she exit by assisted ctb?

A photo was released of her with the new prime minister just a day before, with bruises on her hand.

Then there was some 6 hour live broadcast which seemed a bit over scripted.

Her office said she wouldn't go back to London weeks before. Maybe by then she was already in very bad condition. Was the photo with the new prime minister taken weeks before?

I also learned this here (no social media and only check news sources 1-2x/week), wow. No specific feelings other than the change of an age (70 years of reign!), and the thought that we all do go sometime. As others have said being in that position must be quite a trip; such a weirdly constructed world but also you have the best of basically everything at your disposal. The sociological component is very interesting to me, as is learning that the new monarch will be "anointed with the oils of orange, rose...and ambergris". The wheels of fate continue to turn...

I liked her. She led an extraordinary life.
Bird in a gilded cage though. And those in the direct line of succession are still in the same position.

I didn't like the way she tried to reinstate Andrew not so long ago. She totally misjudged public opinion on that. But maybe she just didn't care by then.

Did she exit by assisted ctb?
I wondered that!

It could all have been planned and organised well in advance.

I live in UK. She would have the best medical care at the end. I wondered if she had died many hours before the nation was told,?. Its like we were being prepared. I never saw her in England but by chance, in Berlin, on a trip i did see her departure in the royal visit. King Charles 3rd is now the British monarch.
I hear King Charles 3rd is planning to defunction Buckingham Palace!.

i ve never known anyone to die peacefully!. Its always been awfully and not necessarily surrounded by loved ones. That's part of the reason i want control of my death..maybe painful but quick but not dying in protracted agony like my Mother. We wouldn't allow this to happen to our beloved animals would we?.

The Queen of England?? No she wasn't. She was the Queen of the UK which means she was the monarch of Scotland England, Wales and Northern Ireland and I'm sure Ireland still saw her as their Queen and she was Head of the Commonwealth!!! Foreigners who call her 'Queen of England really annoy me.

A lot of people died peacefully… My father died in his sleep… My mother was on a lot of pain killer drugs and drifted away… There's very little reason for people to die in excruciating pain these days…

Wasn't she already dead?
When I see older people I can't help but think that getting older sucks and I don't want to be alive for that long. Holy shit. It even doesn't matter if you have money or not. The quality of life is just fucking miserable after certain point.

Does "dying peacefully" mean getting injected with drugs that make you go sleep sleep?
