OK... so computer thing is working... one check scanner/printer was semi-natively recognized... the other was like noping-the-hell out of there... onto plan B, C, D and just setting op the old pc for it if needed.

No, I mean it sucks, but it's the rules--18 min.
I mean I once was like "I'm not reporting this (while telling a mod lol), but....." about a person who did something sketcky once even. It's all about site integrity, safety, and well, making sure things are legal, safe for everyone (well... 'safe' considering), and just that people don't have to worry.

You often can't identify a good liar who just does +1 to their age. I often posed as an 18yo of opposite gender in my 16-17s, and nobody seemed to be able to tell.

I would hate to see hundreds of legit users lose this site because of the actions of impulsive teens—and I so would have been one of them!

Yeah, I mean you can kind of tell someone's age based on what they say, but at the same time there are some really decent older-sounding writers ,and some younger sounding older people.

I can even change my writing style to be way feminine, or way masculine if I want (I once did a story like that, changing the POV from male to female for the same thing--people thought it was 2 people writing it!). I think it's why there's the agreement, and banning. You agree you're 18+, if not, bye-bye.

If anyone is like 'hey you let young ones in! They can show proof that 1) the rules say people agree that by singing up they are 18+, and 2) if they find out otherwise, they are gone instantly.

I'd actually be checking in to their ER but for an outpatient clinic. But yeah pretty great they have this.

That is true, but I don't know if it would work or not - if I wanted to ban SS, I would find a way :)
