I'm opening this thread to collect the most creatively delusional and blatantly false statements you've come across regarding suicide attempts.
The kind of claims written with the confidence of someone who knows absolutely nothing — not anatomy, not physiology, not neurochemistry — but believes that keyboard empathy is enough to turn garbage into "shared truth."
The internet is full of them: a moral circus where every clown is eager to say that dying is nearly impossible, unbearably painful, and lasts forever — but only if you choose it.
I'll start with this masterpiece I read on Quora:
"People who hang themselves suffer immensely, remain conscious for 7–8 minutes, feel every second of the suffocation, and kick like a mule before dying."
Right. Not a typo, not an opinion: a death rodeo, a sadistic western imagined by someone who probably thinks the trachea is a Wi-Fi router and carotids are optional.
I invite everyone to contribute with similar gems. If the quote includes "destiny saved you" or "the body wants to live," that's double points. If it mentions karma — triple.
Come on. Let's build a museum.
